Good try, I like what you're trying to do. However, you still have some improvements to make. Just stay positive, and keep coloring. The more you do it, the more you'll learn, and that's the benefit of practice. I don't know how your other colorings look, so I'm not sure what exactly you're capable of, but it looks like you have potential. Like Vassili kind of says, your colorings will look a lot better, once you get better with adding light sources, and basing your shadow work off of that. For something this dark, lightening would of been a good addition to add to the background.
