not bad, but i wonder why everyone seems to fear to shade it any other way than the original...

I agree with Lee-nus, it's prob the best cell shaded version there actually is but it still follows the original shading.
As for my opinion, I don't see any point in doing 23442 versions, just choose one, there aren't any major difference you could easily tweak out something to get one between the 2 or 3 you prefer.
