Sorry for the late reply, zim D:That's great, I love his art style
There have been a lot of manga art displays in Tokyo recently - last time I was there, I saw both the Clamp and the JJK exhibitions
How you get Syx onboard?
Did Sky spend all his ca$h on loot last time and not make the necessary funds required for this trip?
There's a ton of tips I could give, anything specific you'd like to know?Neat, i am actually planning a trip to japan this year, any tips?
What's keeping you Asa, the money?one day we go there erin...
At this point anything helps. I only have the plane tickets... So far we have only decided on going to tokyo, kyoto and osaka and have a rough idea of spots to visit. Maybe I've been looking at some ryokan to stay a night or two but I am not sure if it's worth it yet. There's a ton of tips I could give, anything specific you'd like to know?
It's my first time going there so I figured going to all the must go places in one go made sense. I'll be there just over 2 weeks. What village would you recommend? From what I've read things pretty unfriendly to folk language and technology wise once you leave big cities over there so I was a bit on the fence about going to villages and more rural places.A good Ryokan is most definitely worth it
To be honest, I'd not bother going to Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto in one visit... Better to visit some smaller cities/villages instead
Do a hiking trail, ending the day at a Ryokan with one

Gonna check out the nakasendo stuff. How does this work luggage wise though?Walk the Nakasendo (no need to do it all) and stay in a Ryokan en route. There are many to choose from
Dunno what village to recommend tbh
Just feel that you'd get a more varied trip not just limiting yourself to Tokyo and Osaka [Kyoto is different enough, to me, to be worth a separate trip on a 2 week holiday]
I'm not sure what you mean by 'unfriendly to folk language' - I've always found people pretty [far too?] accomodating, wherever I've gone in Japan. Sure, English will not serve you as well, when far from the main cities, but you can get pretty far by just pointing, smiling, and looking a little lost

Probably not that well, unfortunately. Less you can find a place to store it/shove it all into a backpack...Gonna check out the nakasendo stuff. How does this work luggage wise though?
Osaka is great - just I personally feel that Tokyo and Osaka both, in 2 week trip, is kinda redundant, aye.So osaka can be a bit redundant? Removing osaka would definitely free up a lot of time.
My Japanese is le shit (and was far worse before I married into the fam) and I have never had too much of an issue... It all depends on what you are trying to do, I guessFrom what I've read it feels like i should be a bit concerned about the language barrier. Maybe that concern is overblown?
Yeah, we probably won't be traveling too lightly. I suppose given the japan tourism craze there should be some simple solution to this. Airports in europe at least have easy storage options.... A quick google suggests just sending luggage from one hotel to the next.Probably not that well, unfortunately. Less you can find a place to store it/shove it all into a backpack...

Just learn a few key words/phrases and be prepared to repeat them a few times and I reckon you'll be fine
