[Ju-da-su]

Akatsuki by Motoki Koide is an ongoing series serialized in Shounen Rival starting from February 2009 Issue onwards.

Summary
Akatsuki; the powerful demon of illness which will spread into the victim, turns their eyes red, and slowly kill them. Usually, they take form or a strong monster connected to the victim's body. The only way to cure the victims infected with Akatsuki is to slash the victim body with special anti-Akatsuki weapons, known as "Crave". The group of people who possess and use these weapons are called as "Kiri-Isha" (Slash Doctor)

Hibiki, the protagonist of this story, is the Kiri-isha. He partnered with Kirisa, another Kiri-Isha. Their mission is to cure people infected with Akatsuki, but what could possibly lies ahead of them?

The world has some great possibilities, and it sort of reminds me of Monster Hunter. I was a little disappointed at the end of the fight, but I still have hope for this manga. I'm damned tired of the impulsive, stupid, aggressive shounen lead who leaps before he looks, though - Hibiki. His resemblance to Naruto is salt in the wound.

A so-so manga so far. A disappointing fight actually, was hoping for a bigger bang for a first impression.

So... Naruto with a sword runs around with some chick fighting slimy monsters of some sort.. To be honest, from reading the raw, it doesn't seem all that great. The art is pretty cool and all, but the story and concept seems really cliché and it's all been done before. I'll give it another shot if someone releases a scan, though.

I'm sorry but I think the main character resembles Naruto too much. Don't get me wrong, I like Naruto... that's why I dislike them being so similar.

I'm going to wait for the scans though.

Didn't seem that interesting at all. Naruto+Bleach+Double Arts. I'd rather take double arts back Also with how he drank the demon and became one to fight back...it kinda reminded me of the one the rejected story ideas that the guys came up with in Bakuman
