Nana How'd you draw the chibi characters? Tablet?

I drew them on paper, using ink and pen, scanned and colored on photoshop using my tablet...
I always make the base drawing on paper, but sometimes I do the line art with the tablet over the scanned sketch...

and for the curious, those are me and my high school friends, so I didn't go through much character design process :P

@Kakashi: Dude ... You REALLY made a HUGE progress here. It feels really good to watch someone become better at making sigs day after day. Keep up! I say this because you started with a low level performance not like the others... and look at you now.

The chibi sig contest is closed for submissions, and there are nine adorable chibi submissions from which to select. Which little darling is the most darling of all? You decide! Cast your vote within one week to select the winner.

The new contest is up, and the theme is tree. It is inspired by the upcoming Earth Day and Arbor Day holidays, and since we can't plant trees online, this is the next best thing, ne? Your submission contain a tree. Your submission can be about something related to trees, i.e., branches, roots, etc. Your submission can even be about something with "tree" in its name. I hope you like this environmentally friendly theme. I look forward to seeing how all of you grow with this contest!

Also, congratulations to all of the winners of the Winter Art Contests, especially nanaDmari for her signature winning the title of the Best of the Season!

Anyway, I got to it and tried to make one, I wasn't sure what I was doing the entire time but I knew I had to use asa shigure from shuffle!
and this is the end result:

still a lot of improvements needed I guess, all my sigs are so simple..

Anyway, thoughts ? Oh and tsukisama, is this acceptable I mean, theres a tree but it can't be see clearly..

Sure. That works for me. As long as your submission features a tree or trees in some prominent way, it should be fine.

I think the light shining through the leaves looks gorgeous, Zeltrax! I am not familiar with Asa Shigure. Does she have any special connection with trees, or did you just choose her because you liked her? (It's fine if she does not since you do have clearly under a tree, but I was just curious. )

Thanks ! Well, she doesn't have any special connection to trees, but I chose her because I like her and her hair is green in color, like leaves

I thought so too about the adjustments and I think its fine the way it is so I submitted it already~. I wanted to make sure if its acceptable and I'm glad it is !

I can't think of any good ideas for the tree theme. :S There is many options, but I guess that's what makes it tough.
