I can't tell if this is good or bad yet, but it's not the first time this has happened since I got this set =/

All gaming? You didn't even play on your consoles?? Even I need a good button mash or boss battle to de-stress every once in a while. That sounds awful.

I know I should take more than that, but it's almost too late at this point. If I wanted to get into a professor's research team, I should have asked months ago. I would like to take Modern Physics with it, but it's not offered during the same semester. And then the seminar class can't be taken before my p-chems. I'd take biochem with it since that's an easy class, but I'm taking that next summer (it's the only class I have left that's offered in the summer), so it would be unneeded extra baggage. I could take other classes if I really tried, but I don't think it's wise or worth it. Might as well just take p-chem I, the lab, and work a lot of hours. If I have extra time I can use it towards brushing up on o-chem for advanced synth.


Anyway, Zat, how the hell are you? Haven't seen you in forever!

I'm trying to get a job or two for the summer. A bunch of friends and I are planning a trip to Vegas during winter break...definitely need to save up some cash for that.

I remember you talking about Diablo with KD and everything. Is that MOBA too? I might be more of a PC gamer if I had the time for it or the computer. I have neither. In biology lab the other day my TA basically told us that we have to bring a lap top to lab. Ugh. My battery doesn't even work and my computer is pretty slow. It's going to be a pain to bring it!

I've always wanted to play the Dungeons and Dragons board game. XD And go to the Renaissance Fair.

No, that's an RPG. The online component of it is sort of open-world.

That's really nerdy... I have some friends who would go to some RenFests but I never went myself.

Just because something is well-written doesn't mean that it's classy. Not to mention, 50 Shades doesn't have any real themes or deeper meaning in its plot. You know what I'm trying to say!

You said that you must choose a pre-made character, right? Is that character someone with a certain skill set that you can customize and level up, or...?

You can take two different spells as a summoner, you can also tweak your character through a skill tree and runes. In game you earn gold a variety of ways to buy different items for your champion and can level up your 4 skills in the order you choose. It can be different every game and depending on your role you need to be able to do different things and buy different items. If I'm playing Support I need to buy items that generate gold for me to help my teammates since I won't be the one killing monsters or opponents. If I'm an Assassin I need to buy items that do the most damage and make me more mobile. If I'm a Tank, I need to buy items that give me more health and armor since I protect my weaker teammates and soak up the most damage during team fights. This is sort of a stripped down and simplistic version of it of course. Two champions might need the same thing, but because of their skillset, they might need different items.

lol you make it sound like it's oh so different but the different "roles" aren't all that different. You either skill to take as much damage as possible, to deal as much damage as possible or support your teammates as much as possible. Or you go kill some creatures in the jungle and join the fight later. Still the same fights and routine all over again. Funny and entertaining but not really a lot of variety.

Nah, I wrote a few reviews years ago (remember, you read one ) but never since then. I like reviews and appreciate them but I'm too lazy to write them nowadays. I wrote some for the monthly anime reviews here on MH, maybe you missed that. It's made of reviews by different staff members, I guess I should try to restart that project sometime.

And the short reviews were fun Pretty much made for me yeah, but I'm not the only one. Gary was right with Kait and Sky, they're anime tards too

You're simplifying it quite a bit there. Your impression is just different because you only play Top and only play two different champs. But like I said, you're dumbing it down quite a bit there.

That's just what you think I do, but I've played around 5 different champs (probably far away from you but still) and I've tried all positions. Saying I only play top is plain wrong, I usually play either bot or top, sometimes middle (though not that often). The only route I've only played one or two times is jungling, it's just not interesting to me. I think I'm pretty much aware of and experienced all the different routes. It may not be as often as you but more than enough to give me a good gist of most things and I really don't find them all that different. Maybe I'm simplifying things but you're just exaggerating when you say there's so much variety.

That's just my opinion but in the end LOL comes down to the same concept over and over again, as fun and entertaining as it may be.

Ofc but it's just like every other game with different classes and there's only that much variety if you focus on one game or whatever else alone, that was my point. And in case of such a game the experience is pretty limited too. I guess that's why I could never continue for long (without breaks) or focus too much on one game alone, especially online games. It just gets so extremely repititive.

Yeah, the idea is that it's the one last big trip before everyone enters the real world. Yep, turned 21 a few months back, and nah nothing specific, although we do kind of want to see the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon.
