Oh, I think you're remembering somebody else saying that the first one was the best. I really liked the first book (I just barely finished the series a few weeks ago), but I liked the second book the most. Figures, since everyone I know thinks it's the worst one. XD I also loved the ending to the series. It's was pretty realistic.

I know. I think Harry Potter started the 'split the final movie into several films' trend. And they STILL left a shit ton of things out from the seventh book. The Hobbit being split into three is soooo overkill, but I can't really complain because I'm going to love every minute of it. XDI didn't realise they were going to do that with the final book. I guess splitting them into several movies is more beneficial but at the same time it's a bit of a drag and can be frustrating. Like they've done with the Hobbit and countless other films. <_<
Off course! I really enjoyed the first movie and the books were fun to read but you were right when you said (a long time ago xD) that the first one was the best. You should check out the soundtrack for the sequel. It's really impressive!
