Anime League Anime League - Winter 2018

[Demonspeed]

Nanatsu no Taizai: Imashime no Fukkatsu.
Fate/Extra Last Encore.
Overlord II.

Kokkoku was pretty good too but the Shalltear scene made the difference .

[Wowzers]

This Weeks Picks!

Mahoutsukai no Yome -ep18- Elias has a tantrum and then sleeps it off.
Fate/Extra Last Encore -ep02- Nero the Roman emperor is unexpectedly good waifu material.
Violet Evergarden -ep05- Violet had a lot of job satisfaction today.

Spoiler: Other good shows

Darling in the FRANXX -ep05- I guess Hiro is improving his compatibility with 02?
Kokkoku -ep05- Some backstory and multiple Heralds
Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san -ep05- Takagi-sama made the rain stop to win a bet.
Sora Yori mo Tooi Basho -ep06- Don't lose your passport! Or there will be consequences.
Overlord 2 -ep05- Lizard preservation instincts. LoL
Death March -ep05- The harem grows and will grow some more it looks like.
Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens -ep05- The informant keeps betraying his acquaintances then tells them he did.
Killing Bites -ep05- Hmmm wouldn't a snake be a gekko's natural enemy?
Black Clover -ep18- Asta vs Mars part 2, action is decent but not crazy over special effects.

[SharkBait]

Darn I missed this weeks cutoff.

Would have picked Idolish7, BLack CLover, and YowaPeda

[Arjuna]

My nominations

Mahutsukai no Yome
Grancrest Senki
Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens

[Eternal Dragon Of ChaOZ]

Cardcaptor Sakura

Spoiler

Wow look at all those clothes, Kero also has a nice selection of sweets to choose form.

Nice to see that Sonomi is as lively as ever when it comes to Sakura.

Flying drone cameras, now Tomoyo will never miss any of the action.

Funny moment between Sakura & Syaoran, Tomoyo got all the best shots.

Befriending a card instead to taking it by force, pretty cool.

What's even cooler is seeing Sakura being able to fly again, and the flight wings look very pretty.

Syaoran has been worried now for a few episodes because he can't feel anything from these cards, I am also starting to get worried by this.

Violet Evergarden

Spoiler

Nice to see some familiar faces, especially Luculia.

I wouldn't be very good at that job if I was either gender, I can't type fast, nor can I read that well at times.

That was have been really cool seeing a comet like that in real life.

What happens once Violet finds out the one she loves is already dead? Her reaction to it anyway.

I feel really happy for Leon at the end, he found a new reason for living, Violet completely changed him.

Death March kara Hajimaru Isekai Kyousoukyoku

Spoiler

A bit rough indeed, I didn't think there would be that many problems trying to find accommodation.

That was funny how those all wanted food instead of watching the play.

I think they all did a good job getting rid of those ants.

Lmao they took him to the brother, and as for those skills he acquired.

Ah that girl again, manager said her name is Mia.

Honorable Mentions

Darling in the FRANXX

Spoiler

Team 016 were impressive to watch, a huge difference in teamwork compred to our regular cast.

That Klaxosaur is a real tough one.

I'm glad Goro got mad at Ichigo, she really needs to be replaced as leader, her own feelings and emotions are a burden to the team.

I was fearing the worst for Zero Two & Hiro but they somehow came through, even got wings, that wa spretty cool.

Grancrest Senki

Spoiler

That was a great negotiation, Theo is getting better each episode.

Lassic gets the scalp of another king, his stock keeps rising.

A lot of interesting people at that gathering.

I think they all did a good job against those assassin's.

Lord Alexis is a pretty cool guy, I would like to see more of him & Theo, they got along great together.

Mitsuboshi Colors

Spoiler

Nice, they are all wearing some cool new clothes.

Lol they actually thought they could eat the flowers, no surprise to their reactions after trying them.

Kotoka looked like she was trying not to burst out with laughter when Yui put on that moustache.

Wow Yui really did a number on Kotoha there, that was an incredible reaction we got from Kotoha.

Being bad at video games, Kotoha has the same weakness as me lol.

Colonel's camera car so they can take pictures of panties, they came up with a lot of crazy ideas, what's even crazier is the cat actually knows how to use the camera.

Extra virgin oil always makes me laugh.

Overlord II

Spoiler

Wow that girl really had a number done on her.

As so Sebas was created by Touch, help out people when they need it.

She was healed pretty quickly, not sure about the devour part but either way she is fine now I guess, what they do with her is the big question.

Reminds me of episode 4 in season 1, Ainz helped that village out because of the same motto from when touch helped him out.

Oh that guy with the blue hair, forgot he existed, does an appearance from him mean he is going to run into Shalltear again at some point?

Some assassins, twins by the looks of it, Evileye is fighting against Entoma in the opening movie.

Black dust drug, sounds very ominous, glad they are burning it all down, the entire eight fingers guild will most likely be a handful to deal with.

Toji no Miko

Spoiler

Thank goodness Sayaka knocked away that nasty vial.

So now we know more about the grandfather and about the Mokusa organization.

President Takatsu is a real despicable woman, hurting anyone and everyone without any remorse to just so she can try and get close to Yukari.

It's a good thing Sayaka has a friend like Mai around.

Those 2 put up a decent fight against Yume but as I suspected she would be too strong, but Yume seems to be hurt a bit, she was grabbing her chest after defeating those other students.

Really glad Sayaka was able to express her own feeling, now she can start enjoying life, she is not a tool, she is a lovely human being.

Wow so there is even an Origami in Mokusa, looks like she was also at the great disaster 20 years ago, next episode should be very good as well.
