Here I was thinking it would be that big christmas drama... and everything went by in such a simple way ._.
That surprised me a bit, so I had to comment on this XD

I actually read the raws for this, so I waited until I saw an Edited Manga out there... it's just that chapter 44 left me in such an anxiety state!

it's okay. it's a monthly manga, Edited Mangas are at an okay pace, and it's not like shounen where there's a big reveal or anything.

is ch49 the final chapter? bummer... i kinda expected more... conflict.. not satisfied with kikuchi's closure.

Yes, it is the final chapter, I got surprised when I noticed that.. because, it didn't feel like it.
Futaba and Kou seemed like the only characters that had real closure, for me there was nothing for Kikuchi at all... what was that with Kominato's sister? XD

like the author suddenly wanted to end the series, and then thought up a sister for Kominato, to feed off to Kikuchi just to "close". :/

That's exactly it. I didn't even remember a sister ever existed to be honest...

But even Shuuko and Kominato had a somewhat weird ending. She had a change kind of out of nowhere. I didn't like it.
