Well I was pretty serious, I really like Nana's piece.
Honestly it's good to see more and more people join the art contests, even if I don't end up winning for example.

I have pre determined themes for all the other contests of the year, so it was not in my plans to use it, but if more people like the idea we can use it for a coloring contest

That would also pressure me into coloring it XD

I would like to colour it as well o/ Drawing without a tablet is tricky for me cause I suck at scanning shit later u.u I get picky on the result.
But I can colour without proper tools and would totally be up for trying it on your drawing^^

Thanks. Well when I saw the theme was magic, I thought of fairies. Then I thought if I was going to tell a short story on that, I would love one that had to do with a wingless fairy flying (or the feeling of flying). I felt that a story of said Fairy saving a life would fit nicely. So I had the summary in my head and just kept adding and refining in my head.
Gave it a few days and when I decided to write it yesterday, the story just flowed.

The final part about flying was supposed to be said by the father (or mother). Something along the lines of them putting together that she's a fairy based on their initial suspicions, the fact that a child was conceived shortly after she came and based on what they'd just seen. Eventually the father sees Alice joyful but can tell she doesn't exactly understand what she's feeling and would say that though she may not have wings, she flew higher than any fairy did or something like that :XD

. The idea wasn't entirely complete yet but I realized halfway that it would make the story longer than allowed so I decided on that as well as it being Alice's and the Baby's secret.
