So I mayhaps enter in some competitions if my timing is right~

Far '-' shouldn't we have a signature thread? to let people post and receive opinions...
The same for avatars too.

I like the sound of that.

There's the avatar thread and signature thread in the Artists Studio section but the purpose of those two threads are really just to post a collection of sets so anyone is free to wear them I guess or ask for requests. A thread where one gives suggestions/opinions on avy or sig sets would be cool.

In the past we've sometimes used the main hangout as a place to share some works and ask for suggestions/opinions on them. I don't see any harm in you doing that. We could all learn something from it! I guess it's all about trial and error in the end!

Seeing that you had put in so much effort into the banners, I think you should considering entering your second entry. (The more entries, the better.)
I'm literally the only one who has 3 entries in the contest.I already feel like I'm cheating by having that many entries.>.>

Personally, making a 1000 x 70 px banner was really hard.You couldn't cramp too much details or it'll turn out horrible.But in a way, it was actually an advantage because there is less space to fill out and it is a perfect excuse to focus on only one subject. (for me) I really did enjoy making those banner.

I honestly couldn't agree with you anymore in regards to the 1000x70 "constraints". lolz

I learned that it's best to focus on one subject/theme as oppose to trying to fit all sorts of different ideas into one banner. It took me a while to adjust to it~ Btw - your banner submissions are awesome!!! :333

About the MH Birthday Banner contest... like sakura I need a bit more time to finish up my banner because I've been overloaded with uni work and other things so it would be great if we could get a small deadline extension! <3

Thanks, though I feel slightly depressed about being demoted lol - well I wasn't on enough to get promoted, even when I wasnt sick either. So I guess it was probably inevitable - (unless my life suddenly became less hectic, XD)

Well since today is saturday, I think Ill hammer out some sig work tonight (Including an attempt for the banner comp.) and try to get my Photoshop legs back..

On another note~ - a few months back my area had a Fair, and I decided to enter in some artwork... mostly photography and 1 digital entry.... about 3 of my photos got first place, a second place, and a 3rd place.....
My digital image (Im not used to printing things out so the print quality was lower than what it actually was) got a 2nd place as well...

Anyways the Photography contest right now, I entered in one of the images I used there... XD

Ya mine is only a slightly awesome cam - It can't take very good pictures at night (unless theres a lot of reflective surfaces, like snow)
But it does awesome (AWESOME) in everything else.

hahaha I know exactly what you mean! It feels weird using PS again after a long break. I was like "okay so where do I begin again!?" XDDDD Took me some time to get back into my comfort zone with PS tbh.

Oh wow. Seems like you have some valuable experience already with this kind of contest. It's going to be very different compared to the other contests. I guess I'll try to take a couple of pics a day in my normal day to day life and compare the pics and see what happens~ xD
