The contests will resume shortly, just putting the finishing touches to this year's schedule/plans .

Hi, everyone! Did you miss the contests?

Well, they will be back starting this sunday, February 15! The poll for the first contest is up, cast your vote to choose the first theme for the Avatar and Signature Set category.

This year we made some changes to the contests.
The bi-weekly contests will be held as we are used to, but we added a little something else. We'll be granting points for the winners of every round. And this will count for a Leaderboard of the Art Section. But, if you interact in some other way, posting a piece to your own gallery, for example, you can also earn points for it. At the end of the year, we'll have badges for the top artists, as well as some other rewards. You can check alll the information about it in the Art Contest & Leaderboard Information thread.

Also, any questions or comments are welcome here

I hope everyone will enjoy it! Let's have some fun and keep up the good work!

I want to ask, what counts as 'Drawing'? Does making everything on PS count? (Not necessarily using the brush tool...)

It counts, as long as you don't use photos, for example. If you are using the brush, bezier or free form tools makes no difference. Drawing goes for any image you create without using pre-existing images, your original art
(Feel free to check for references, obviously n_n)

Maybe another word would fit better, like illustration. Any suggestions to make it more understandable are welcome

Ok, I rushed with the coloring and was able to submit something for this contest... but I had some accidents, like my pencil suddenly cracking... almost breaking in half ._.

I just notice it's a Faber-Castell, that's pretty ironic lol.
Maybe you could try taping it back up temporarily if it wouldn't affect your art too much...

guys for the photo contest , macro definitely sounds more interesting and fun to do but i dont think everyone has a macro lense or can find one .participation would be at its lowest imho .what do you think?
