Yes, you can use dream in those contexts

I was going to sit this one out but I had a random flash of inspiration from the boundless void of my mind

Aaaaand I end up posting something that rhymes anyway

Haha I thought the same way, Spirit. I'm used to writing song lyrics, every line rhyming with the next sort of, so I thought "I'm not doing that for this poem". Then I started writing, and while it wasn't exactly line by line, it managed to rhyme anyway (if read right). The non-rhyming poem is tougher but can be friggin' beautiful when done right. I've never managed it.
