Yes, it was my two weeks of fabulous glory ^-^
I wanted to submit as well, but didn't get to it due to tests and house renovations.

Haven't touched my computer for ages because it was being abused and lost under all the cardboard boxes

Not sure if a typography themed contest has been suggested. Not sure how it'd work exactly, but trying to keep to my strong points .

I like that theme.It can be used in photography or a separate contest altogether(where you create your own). Like the image I found.

Oh God, this thread is a bless xD We can get some great ideas here^^ And I like that people are now interacting more outside the discussion thread as well.

About the typography contest, that's also a good idea. I believe that this thread could be used for some misc contest suggestions as well. A video contest was suggested one, but maybe it could be complicated although exciting. What do you guys think?

The video contest sound like a cool idea but it do need a theme to accompany it to make it more fun.Eg: noir,nature.
Bu I do admit it is a bit difficult...

I echo the difficulty in doing a video based contest; as great as it would be to see one, I imagine the time consumption for editing and whatnot may be more than what some are willing to invest in. It would admittedly be good for us to try to venture outside our comfort zones and it would help expand skills and variety of contests. I guess we can keep discussing it and see what other opinions there are.

As for typography, my thoughts are that it could be as simple as creating a typography-based signature/banner to something advanced as creating a font from scratch(). The former seems more do-able and fun for all to take part in my opinion.

Humm akia's dystopia theme seems really fun to do, the problem is fixing the amount of "dark" stuff we could put on it.

About a video contest... It really depends on the theme, if done, a easy theme would be better, like stop-motions or videos with just a few takes.

A typography-based sig/banner contest sound awesome.Creating font from scratch require a specific program and it's almost impossible to do for most of us.>.>

I was thinking it would suit for a poetry/short story contest.

I don't see the amount of dark as something that problematic xD The softwares we use have enough features to allow us to work with that in different ways, and those features are well known^^ So I think it could be used either for a literature contest, as Akia said, or for a graphic one.

I was thinking about themes for next art-contest and it was really hard to determine what new\interesting\catchy it could be. But my offers are
- nationality
- specific religions (shamanism, paganism, viccanian magic, religion of Atlantis and so on)
- mecha (for example a theme, like `mecha for environmets- water, fire, air, blood lol`)
- science (researches, journies, failures, troubles)

Maybe some combo. Say, mecha+religion.
