August still wins....Yeah Irene is not looking overly impressive.
True enough, but even without seeing how they did, not scratching August or pushing him even a little<<chopping up Eileen's beloved hat(and damaging her and stuff). Unless of course August>>Eileen as you said, which i'm also leaning towards.Let's be fair to CS, we didn't actually get to see their performance because it was off-panelled. I'm certainly going with August >> Irene right now. Irene has been crap so far.
I think that is certainly possible, a few people have stated that before. I still see enchantments being good for battle, just like with Acnologia. But perhaps for high level enchantments, they might require time. August with his many weapons probably can use quick fire spells, which would be much better for battle.Could be Eileen is like a Wendy, good for support.
Or maybe she is only August level when in her dragon form.

Yes she just needs to undo what Zeref did, if she can dragonise, she beats August without doubt.^^She IS dragonized already. Zeref just hid that fact.
Why do you think she was so jealous of Wendy? Because Grandine prevented that from happening to her.
Isn't Eileen still a dragon but only outwardly Zeref created an illusion that let's her look like a human? If yes then her power level won't change.Yeah August destroys Irene w/only enchantments. Before I said Mid-Diff was safe but honestly given the decent performance that Erza and Wendy had against her I might even drop it to low-diff, maybe low-mid diff. August had far less difficulty against an overall stronger group of opponents (I'd argue Jellal alone is more deadly then Erza + Wendy combined).
If Irene gets to dragonize its a different story.
Well everyone would still say Warrod>>GMG Gray despite Warrod having very little combat ability, so maybe Eileen=August is the same thing. You can be strong without being combat oriented, maybe. While I agree that Irene might be only good for support...
It would defeat the purpose where Brandish told FT that "Irene is like the strongest female near August's level"... because frankly, how can a support be almost on par with the strongest warrior/combatant wizard?
That's like saying Warrod = Gray because Warrod is a really good support mage...
If she can, somehow i doubt she has the skill considering the hundreds of years of failureYes she just needs to undo what Zeref did, if she can dragonise, she beats August without doubt.

Yes, Irene is still a dragon. It's merely her appearance that's human.Isn't Eileen still a dragon but only outwardly Zeref created an illusion that let's her look like a human? If yes then her power level won't change.

For us readers to say that, yeah, it would be weird. But for a character in the manga to say it? Not so strange, Warrod is stated to be stronger than Jura, but combat wise he is still weakerWell, I was talking about Current Gray. Saying that Irene is a good support mage, and therefore is on August's level would be like saying:
Warrd is a good support mage, and therefore is on Current Gray's level... which is clearly not the case.
He wasn't stated to be stronger tho. Brandish said they are on the exact same level. This fight should be no less than extreme diff either way as they've stated no one knows who'll come out on top.Yes, Irene is still a dragon. It's merely her appearance that's human.
Right now going from what we've seen of Irene's fight so far, I think it'd be a mid-high diff win for August. I think people are being a bit harsh on Irene when it comes to getting attacked by Wendy and Erza, I mean you've got a dragon that's been hit by a dragon slayer in dragon force and then Erza has hit right where Wendy softened her up, so it's not too hard to believe she got injured there. It's also important to note that Erza was enchanted by Wendy to be stronger, so that's a factor too. But back to this fight, seeing August is said to be stronger than a Dragon the Spriggans have on their side, he takes it out mid-high diff. His vast knowledge of magic should definitely see him through.

Crime Sorcerie sucks more. Irene thought Juliet and Heine could handle them alone and they had no solid feats remotely as good as Wendy. She has some amazing feats in this arc. She oneshotted a 9D while half dead, healed a fatal injury, had sense perceptions way above Tartarus Natsu level, Enchantments buffs are more shined on, and she has great reaction and speed feats. Sorano's best feat is shaking her booty lol.Its either August>Eileen, or Erza+Wendy>Crime Sorciere. Cause Erza and Wendy's performance shits all over Crime Sorciere's.
Just compare the OS vs August to Wendy vs Eileen. The OS attacks August but are easily countered and overpowered by Augusts superior mastery over their magic, but when Wendy enchants Erza and Eileen tries to pull an August to counter it with her superior mastery, Wendy just counters that bitch right back.
Then we have Jellal helplessly getting floored by August's casual Reflection, and Erza dodging Eileen's casual explosions and cutting up some hats.
Someone here has to suck, and im not sure who it is.
To be fair, Zeref could have taught her. I mean she acknowledged how much of a genius Zeref is. August is probably of similar ilk (to Zeref for magic). If she can, somehow i doubt she has the skill considering the hundreds of years of failure
