Basic Signature Tutorial Thread

DZ suggested that I made a signature tutorial so I did make one. I also think that this thread can be a place where people post their own tutorial for signatures and compare/contrast different techniques used in making a decent signature. Anyway, here goes my one. It's the first time I'm making a tutorial so I might miss some really important details. >.> Feel free to ask questions too.

For those who can't access DA, I've uploaded it to photobucket on a lower quality version. (photobucket resizes anything bigger than 1 GB =/ so I had to make it smaller)

Ok... I've made my very simple very unartistic signature... but I don't get how to get to display... I thought I had my html code right, but i guess not....

Any tips?

Heres the code I put in... with a space so you can see it... What am I missing? Why doesn't it display? I can do anything in windows... but I can't do HTML

In this forum we use BBcode (as far as I am concerned). You don't put <img src> etc.. what you do is:

[img]URL[/img]

where the "URL" is your image's url

Of course, you can always host your image for free @ http://imageshack.us

its not working... maybe theres a problem with my host? I have the text pasted twice above. Once wihtout spaces (you can't see it) and once with spaces... (that you can see)... I guess I'll just have to try photobucket or something... greatestjournal.com is supposed to have free photo hosting tho... hmm..

polygonal lasso tool ?

The background is erased using the magic wand tool. That's the fastest and easiest way to delete the background.
