Is Hardcore really worth the investment when online connection is mandatory ? :/

I just don't want to invest into such a character just to loose him because of a lag issue...

I never lag except for at the very start (fps issues for a min then), so no problem there for me. All I have to do is play a bit on a softcore char to get rid of the first minute dps lag.

Really, you need to be prepared to die if you make a HC char. I died early, but still only laughed (lvl 13 in Halls of Agony). It's pretty cool to take things more seriously, even in Normal. For instance on my second char I went with a shield on my Monk on the Butcher, just to be sure. And when you got 50% HP you actually feel something "should I pot already? Or get hit once more?" goes through your mind, it's pretty cool. I doubt I'll ever reach really high level for it to matter. I mean if you reach 60 and die it's pretty dull, but I'm probably going to die in Normal again, lol.

Appears like blizz announced that they are working at PvP (duh) and that the patch will be available as public beta for those interested (when, only they know and will announce before hand). That's at least a good thing

Haha, of course you can. It's just been quiet here about ASOIAF since I'm finally over my withdrawal period. My by far longest and most brutal period of suffering for the lack of fiction material to date. I've been through a week, or even two weeks for one piece of fiction, but never have I gone two months where my mind just wants more every day.

Dude Darja wouldn't stop crying, she was constantly calling your name. She mentioned Milly a few times too, was hard to understand.

We were close to loosing hope when Pat had an idea and mentioned he's watching Sword Art Online now. You should have seen that look on her face. Still in tears but in silent ecstasy. Something like this:
