I think it has much to do with what's right too. Kurisu was saved due to Okabe altering the future and jumping to another World Line. In actuality Kurisu should have died and Mayuri lived. It's debatable who he cares for most. He cares about them in different ways.

Well, yes, but how do we know that Mayuri's death wasn't "fated" to happen even in the beta world? It's a risk, that he'll sacrifice Kurisu, and then Mayuri will die anyway.. So.. uh I mean yeah, I agree with it, but I just keep thinking about it and what would I do. I'd probably save the weak one too, but for that reason. I just have this need to take care of weak/sad/miserable/unhappy : shrug :
