considering all the monsters does it mean that gutts failed in his quest? or that it was impossible in the first place?

This is a separate series, it has nothing to do with Berserk.

If i'm not mistaken, this is a totaly different series, which has no connection to the "berserk" manga. Edit- xi0 was quicker than i was
Gutts's quest is to kill griffith, avenge the (real/old) band of the hawk and return Casca's sanity. There were apostles/monsters before Griffith turned into a "god hand", and i believe they will remain even after Gutts's quest.

I've been thinking over this theory for a while, and i am really looking forward for the next chapter to come out, and have the story progress to its final stages (the ending of Berserk), and i simply can't sit idly, while doing nothing. Anyway, my theory is that everyone had a dream where a "white hawk" will save everyone, light the darkness. Ever since Gatts used the berserker armor, a part of his hair turned white. I think that as the story progresses, as Gatts uses the berserker armor more frequently, his hair will continue to turn white, until he is completely white. As we all probably know, Griffith after becoming a god hand, "Femto", is a black, devil like "angel". Therefor, i believe that the "white hawk" that appeared in everyone's dream is actually Gatts, and the darkness, "the black clouds", is Femto. Following this theory, i assume that in the future of the story, the "white hawk"- Gatts, will fight the "evil soldier" section of the new band of the hawk (the apostles), while trying to persuade the "human army" to change sides and realise that Griffith isn't what they believe he is - a saviour.
I'm probably not the first one to come up with this theory, so sorry in advance if i stole the idea.

I will be happy if he delivers as much chapters as the new series, 6-7 should be good to see SOME story progression in either part of the whole plot. 3-4 gives so little and it seems we are stuck. :/

I don't really recall if he's released any material in the last year, but he usually releases enough chapters for a volume a year. I don't see a reason to think it'll be more.

I mean in this batch, since he usually does 3-4 then break then the rest, I want a full volume at once so we are more into the story and get moving with some happenings, and then I prefer a long break after that. Oh well, I guess having some Berserk instead of no Berserk is a plus.

I want to see Guts tho, but I think we will stick with the Apostle plot.

I am so glad its back, looks like it will be the inside of Griffiths kingdom which will be very interesting. They will prob focus on that for abit now with like 2-3 pages of Guts journey.

I can live with grand double spreads of the kingdom again. But somehow that does not progress the story, more Griffith showing off, fine we get it, now let move to Guts so he can grow stronger and stronger so he can beat Griffith.
