We do get 20 now ofc, he worked hard on that new manga, so I expect no more than 20, it's not a special chapter anyway .. just Berserk continuing with the story.

It's still a major tease. Understandable kind of that he just got out of the recent new series and need to get his stuff together, but we already waited enough. .. But nothing can surprise me with Berserk anymore.

Any favored schedule for this manga that people have? I personally would just make it bi-monthly and be done with it. Will he change the schedule after this?

Not that this is a pattern, but if by the grace of the Godhead, Miura has somehow decided that he'll release a chapter every 6-8 weeks and that's something that becomes REGULAR...then that's something I'd be more than happy with. That'd also make it so he can still put out a volume's worth of content every year, like what he previously did by coming back for a few chapters at a time.

As long as we don't break another record. This hiatus broke all barriers, I doubt that another Miura hibernation will take place soon. I was quite pleased with most of the pace of the Sea God chapters, not that of a long arc, which if a good schedule is made most of these mini arcs can be done in a year or two. Best would be one volume, now we enter into such a critical part of the story that I can not understand what arc is where and what the heck is going on. I sure hope that I am wrong, and it's not the complexity of this new arc that is making him do this.

So, I started reading Berserk a while ago, because I've been hearing nothing but praise. Appernetly it's the best manga ever in all regards. I'm currently at chapter 305.
Now, the story is really good and the characters are very intriguing.
But the art... I honestly wasn't ready for that. It started out pretty good already, but the further the series went along the more amazing it got. And right now, during the entire Band of Hawks vs. Kushan demon army fight, I can honestly say, I've never seen such amazing art in any manga i've ever read.
Especially being a hobby artist, this is just purse insipration.

Anyway that's my 2 cents.

Yes, I've heard you folks wait a while for the chapters, but considering the quality I think it's a reasonable price to pay.

There are many things that are interesting to me in the story of Berserk.
The entire idea behind the Behelit is a great concept and gives food for thought.
When it comes to the fighting, I have to admit that Zodd is my favourite character to see on a panel (especially because of how amazing he is portrayed).

I also love the interaction between the characters, and currently Schierke is my favourite when it comes to this. I find it interesting to see her, being brought up in a safe environement, come into a world where there aren't just many dangers, but also humans with all their problematic traits. And even though a romantic relationship between her and Gatts is moraly and ethicly wrong and not happening, her affection towards him is still kind of heartwarming, because it is pure in a sense. Now that might of course be because she never had a father figure, so her "love" towards him is just a somewhat missdiracted search for the love she never got as a child from a father, but it's that exact search that is so fascinating to me.

But when it comes to the story as a whole, there are two things in particular that I'm extremely intrigued by.
The first is the Skeletton Knight. Despite being just a plain badass, I really want to know what his story is.
And the second thing is the question of how Griffith is going to be defeated eventually, if he is going to be defeated at all. Because (even though I'm still 30 chapters behind) I have a theory, that Gatts in the end might just let go of Griffith, becuase of the decision he has to make between revenge and saving casca.

I could honestly write for hours about this piece of writing, and I think this alone is enough to show how great it is. My manga background isn't nearly as big as that of a "average" manga reader. I'm following the big three and a slect few other shounen, I've dropped Fairy Tail and I've read Gantz when it comes to seinen. And even though Death Note and One Piece are still above Berserk for me, the gap is not that wide.

To be honest, I thought that Berserk was overhyped before I started reading it, and I just had to see it for myself. But now, if I take my personnal reasons for loving Death Note and One Piece out of the equation, I can definately see why some people praise this to be the best manga ever created.

Hey I thought too that Berserk was overrated before I started reading it, but when I did it felt that it deserved to be considered one of the best mangas of all time. My only problem back at the time is that I heard how violent it was, but compared to other titles that are just as violent, and for no reason, Berserk is not that violent, or to be more precise, it's not gratuitous violence.There's a reason behind all that gore...
As for SK's origin, there have been hints about him being Gaiseric. I think there's a thread that discusses this in detail.
The only thing that bothers me about Berserk is the breaks.We've been getting those a lot lately. But I think it's an issue that all seinen titles have. The art is gorgeous of course, and it's one of my favorite along with Vagabond. But sometimes I'd rather if Miura focused more on getting on with the story, than just drawing beautiful landscapes...Nah I love the artwork and it's one of the reasons I read it
If you're looking for other mangas other than the big three, I suggest you read Magi. It's a shounen, and it's pretty good. It will keep you occupied while you're waiting for a Berserk chapter to come out.
PS I checked you deviantart, you like to draw pokemons a lot! Compared to you I'm not that productive
Anyway I'm glad that there's still people out there who start reading Berserk. I miss that feeling when you just start reading it, and you can't stop because it's so good. I think I read everything in 3 days without getting much sleep lol.
