Anime Berserk Movie Announced

No offense to ladies on here, but i think all femist groups in USA n aust will be bitching bout getting the berserk movie ban because it has rape/gore/gore/um epic violence/nudity and gore.

The time of the will depend on how it all goes. Personally i would like them to start the first 15-20 minutes doing volume 1-3 then it goes to the past of guts in the golden age and end when griffith betrays them.

Nah I would argue they would support it. Look at Caska in the golden arc. She is the Jesus of Feminists.

I wonder if Miura would want to change anything to the begining of the story? Looks like they are staying true to the anime though. Would be cool if they paced it like eva 2.22. They made that film really nice, packed with action 3-4 full eva fights I think which is a lot in one movie. Didn't waste a second and added character development scenes at the right time and manipulated the mood well throughout. Well probably because there was hardly any Shinji crying scenes, it was less depressing.

I don't see any reason for him to change anything. If you look at how Guts was personality wise in the beginning volumes to now you may think that Miura's style has changed. Its like night and day, but Miura did it on purpose. Guts is who he is now because of the people around him he is slowly but surely regaining that group of people he had in the Golden Age when he was the happiest. He went from being alone to having a ship load of people to trust their lives to him.

i agree with you. i doubt they'll even put it in the new series. they took out Gats's rape scene in the original series, so go figure.

besides, i don't wanna see anybody getting raped period.

What happen to caska made me shocked, rape is bad but for a fictional story it can add alot of pathos to that character and hate to the rapist. Like how else would everyone start to hate and never forgive griffith? by rape thats how. Hence why i hate him so much even though he use to be cool.

I don't have a problem with it in this manga because its a well used albeit grotesque plot device that shows how evil someone is as well as show trauma in certain characters. They don't have to display it more than just show it happened for the same effect.

I already knew where it would stop so I wasn't specifically shocked. I rather grinned and thought "Hey cmon, happy ends have become so boring!", especially since the story obviously doesn't end there.
Yeah, it does feel a little disappointing when such a big turn comes and all the characters one likes lose. But it's still captivating

haha ya. I watched the anime before reading the manga and the ending left me with a permanent "wtf just happened" expression.

24, 25 or 26 idk bout it was one of those episodes that shock me.
Yeah i watched the anime first and had the : O face for a hour. Then thought nooo i have to read the manga and hope something happens. 4 months earlier i started my first manga ganzt cause the ending was so confusing so i thought what happen?

I'm curious about how true to the manga this movie is going to be. The anime inferior to the manga because of omitted characters and scenes. I know that the animators were trying to make the story fit into a self-contained series, but what was sacrificed was the better story.

If the movie encompasses everything, then I'll be truly impressed. But it's nice to see that the scope is to at least include the Conviction Arc.

I found it quite impressive actually, and I even already found some Berserk fans out there who never read the manga but only saw the anime, but still call themselves specifically Berserk fans.

Hm dunno, why should the movie guys bother with what's going on in the manga currently? I doubt that Miura will play a big role in the movie team and neither are they making a movie about the current events of the manga, so it should be totally independend from the current manga state.

Just timing, cause it's going to take more than three years so if they aim to say hey lets have it up to elfheim arc then that would be good. Clearly though the movie part V for example would not end at elfheim it would end after something happens in or after elfheim. Breaking the movie into parts, 3 hour movies wouldn't hurt

Lets see
*movie 1 has - vol1-3 then into the Golden age who knows maybe to the part Griffith becomes general.
*movie 2 - goes to the end of the Eclipse.
*movie 3 - would be huge that ends after saving Caska.
*movie 4 - would be till the end of the Witch.
*movie 5 - would be till Griffith/ Skull knight merges the Astral world.

They would prob have 6-8 months between the movies being released too. Gawd man, when the first one comes I am gonna watch it over and over. Note I hope each movie is over 2 hours, most Anime movies are 90 minutes...
