Anime Berserk Movie Announced

It shouldn't take that much time off him after maybe a first time of coordination I guess, I don't see why they would involve him that much. Though, on the other hand, since Miura never does anything besides working and sleeping, even the slightest efforts for a different project might slow him down

Wow, It's been such a long time since I've last posted here on the forums, unfortunately I haven't had much to talk about and I was REALLY busy with my exams and work, and I STILL am, so I won't be posting here except in some REALLY rare occasions, since I've got no time to reply.. All in all I was waiting till the end of the current arc to post my thoughts.

BUT! the idea of a New Berserk Anime is so captivating and as always fascinating me that I couldn't stay out ..

*movie 1 has - vol1-3 then into the Golden age who knows maybe to the part Griffith becomes general.
*movie 2 - goes to the end of the Eclipse.
*movie 3 - would be huge that ends after saving Caska.
*movie 4 - would be till the end of the Witch.
*movie 5 - would be till Griffith/ Skull knight merges the Astral world.

102jayday I must say that your idea is very likeable but for me is just too much rushed to the current situation and, given the pace at which Miura is publishing is works, it will bring another PAINFUL stop to the series and would cause it to even being dropped because of the lacks of materials..

SO, since I had this unsatisfied wish to start a thread about a likeable series of Real-Life Berserk Movies, that would have brought the entire manga on the big screen without any cut or censorship, I would like to express my wishes..

Making the release pace of the OVAs one each passing year, this should give Miura another NINE years of time before the series catches up with the current arc, which means another 9 volumes= 2-3 OVAs that could be produced (and maybe another one after these..).
Hoping that Berserk would be near it's conclusion by that time

Well, some secondary scenes could be left out and some others could be changed but I think that Berserk is already divided in major arcs that could fit perfectly into a series of movies..
This is just my thought!!

Don't be so pessimistic , Miura is still quite young, and even if he reaches his 50s I don't think that he will quit just for that reason .
And we don't have to wait to the anime to catch up, we should rather enjoy every OVA, and meanwhile we can always enjoy the manga, as we have always done since the original anime ended in 1998 .

Besides that, I really don't see any other way to fit the original story in the project without having to cut too many scenes, which for would ruin the purpose of the project and make it worthless.

I mean by dividing the manga as I did I think that each movie, that would be perfectly loyal to the pacing of the manga, would be at least 1,5-2 hours long and that would make them way longer than the average 1-1,5 long anime movie. Trying to fit the story as you divided it in a series of OVAs I think that would prove impossible without cutting and distorting it, and that I think would make MANY people rage, including myself .
I would rather prefer to wait 4 more years and enjoy a loyal animation than see Berserk ruined.

But yeah once the movies catch up to the manga it will just be on hold until there is enough material for another movie to be made, they said on a committed on going project.

Yeah, and considering the current pace of Miura that would mean putting the anime project on a indefinite hiatus, I mean even with my pacing each movie would cover 3-4 volumes or even more, meaning waiting for Miura for at least 4 years for each movie once the anime catches up

14 days till July... gawd I need a time machine! Or be frozen and hope it doesn't stuff up like on south park when cartmen whats to be frozen for a week and he is frozen for 100s of years. I hope they english dub it quick too like how they did with the devil may cry and gundam unicorn. I loved the english dub cast too of the old anime so hopefully it's almost all of them.

So if info comes next month, the movie might come out at the end of this fall? Just a thought, it may very well be the winter but the sooner the better. I am really looking forward to cast and such, voice acting will be the key factor for me, I think the animation will not disappoint.

I think It will be info on the release or the cast and where the movie goes to in the manga. If it's the release then it will be like a month away or two..if not then We won't see any thing till 3 months. I can wait, as long as they don't quit lol.

I think people are assuming more details will be coming out on twitter, since it was announced more info was coming in july...on twitter. I'd bet it's going to be in Young Animal too obviously.

Next issue of the Young Animal will include something called "Berserk Clear File", probably related to the movie.

There was a tweet from the Berserk twitter account saying that in the next issue of Young Animal there's gonna be a "big announcement" about the movie.
That issue goes on sale 7/8, remember.

Well, last time they said "info will be out in the next YA" there were spoilers that came out like 4 days early, then they just announced it over twitter early anyway because the info was already out there. So watch for that happening.

But basically it's probably just gonna be a date saying this like, December or something. They might also say how much of the story this first movie takes up. My theory is they'll do more than one movie of the Golden Age arc. But this one will at least cover the first little thing, what was that called? The Black Knight arc or something.
