Re: Best 5 vs Mereum
Or... trap Meryem in his Mansion. The end.
Or... trap Meryem in his Mansion. The end.
Yeah I guess by overthinking it I missed the obvious answer. Even if he could survive in there, as long as he can´t get out he is effectually dead.Or... trap Meryem in his Mansion. The end.

I bet Ging, Pariston and the dragon guy could beat as a team.I bet 5 zodiacs could've beaten him. It's too bad we don't know much about their abilities though, only a couple of them![]()
The Zodiacs are merely practice dummies to Netero when he's bored, and Netero got owned by Meryem, I don't see how the whole team is gonna make any difference. I mean I want to believe Ging is super strong and all, but since I've never seen him in a combat, I can only assess that he's smart as hell, but to face against Meryem? I'm not so sure.I bet Ging, Pariston and the dragon guy could beat as a team.
I would argue that the manga has already shown that feitan would do nothing short of failing spectacularly against the king. Everything about him sets him up for failure so decisive and laughable that he simply has no business in this discussion altogether. Lets look at what we know of feitan:
1.- Physical capacity: From a psychical standpoint feitan has shown to be better than an ant captain which is about as well as most high level nen users did however against the king that is garbage. Feitan does not compare in any regards to the king. There is not a shred of a snowballs chance in hell of him avoiding, resisting or otherwise surviving 1 physical attack from the king.
2- Nen volume. The comparison is even more laughable than the physical one. In either of the kings forms.
3.- Nen abilities. Pain packer has been brought up however I don't see how it would even kinda give the king a light tan. The king was freaking nuked and he was not evaporated, he was left as a lump of meat which could be healed. The rose melted stone and had immense blast, it was obviously far exceeding what pain packer could do. To boot there is another crucial thing to consider. As far as we know pain packer requires feitan to take damage. Presumably non lethal damage. Is there a chance of the king not dealing lethal damage? If the king aims to kill he does not even need to somewhat strain himself to turn feitain into a bloodstain. At this point perhaps pain packer can rise to a new level and stick to meruem due to the whole unknown thing nen has going on and do something although I don't think that counts for this argument.
Feitain is on all accounts not only a bad choice, he is a spectacularly bad choice whose set of abilities are as far as we have seen specially useless against the king. Nothing about him is a good match. Well, no one is a match in terms of physical skills or nen volume however what we have seen of his abilities is specially useless against the king.
Its not necessarily a fair comparison though. Killua was trained from birth to resist poison, its not like surviving poison is a standard thing within the HxH world. That said, we also don't know how the zoldicks would handle the poison from the rose. The situation gets to the point that the body of the victim starts producing the poison and spreading it.Yes, King's power seems limitless and he did survive the blast of tremendous explosion. But lets not forget he died of poison. Killua, a 12 year old boy, can sustain poison. Which is kinda pathetic and shows he is not untouchable. In terms of that, probably someone with such chemical power would be the best to fight King.
But, I'm still convinced Feitan would've done better than Netero. I mean, what did Netero actually do? Nothing. His nen was rather bad. The only thing that helped him last 10 seconds is actually that one move that was faster than speed of sound if I am not mistaking. Don't get me wrong. King would kill Feitan. I'm certain of it. But Feitan would deal some real damage to him with his nen abilities rather than killing him with explosion.
But the posion is a safety measure to kill for sure all those surviving the explosion, Killua would not survive the explosion and the poison would kill him in the end even if he was able to survive it.Yes, King's power seems limitless and he did survive the blast of tremendous explosion. But lets not forget he died of poison. Killua, a 12 year old boy, can sustain poison. Which is kinda pathetic and shows he is not untouchable. In terms of that, probably someone with such chemical power would be the best to fight King.
The bomb scatters a vast quantity of an unparalleled poison the instant it explodes. Those who survive the initial explosion will suffer direct internal damages caused by rapid uptake of the poison. The poison catalyzes the production and emission of new poison until the victims finally succumb to death. The quantity of poison as well as the survival time prior to death are truly exquisite, propagating a vast chain reaction of victims.
Yes, Netero didn't do much with only his own skills, he could only stall for time but even when he was hit Meruem was holding back to not kill him, any human would turn into mincemeat after receiving only one hit of a serious Meruem, the RGs are the only ones able to tank it. A broken arm would not be enough to kill enough anyway, the biggest problem with Feitan's Pain Packer is that he lacks the durability, he is outclassed in terms of speed and power but he would need to have at least the durability of a RG to have a little chance.Netero did good. But let's be honest, what did Netero actually do? Nothing. His nen was rather bad for offense but good for defence. The only thing that helped him last longer than 10 seconds is actually that one move that was faster than speed of sound if I am not mistaking. The fact that he could've done a whole lot of different moves is actually why he lost his arm and leg. King's superior intelligence is pure example why there is noone who could've taken him straight in fight. King would kill Feitan in 1v1. I'm certain of it. But Feitan would deal some real damage to him with his nen abilities rather than killing him with explosion.
But here we are talking about best 5. I imagine it like this. Feitan would be unable to reach King to deal any damage with his sword and he would actually end up losing one of his limbs or would sustain few broken bones from all the attempts. That would trigger his abilites, and only then, he would deal damage to King and probably to the rest 4 members of the "Yolo squad".
To be honest I don't see how there is a chance of feitan approaching a fraction of the power or temperature of the rose. If the rose compares to a nuke in some level then we are already talking about temperatures much higher than that of the sun. What would it take for a human to do a fraction of that? I believe feitan is strong as fuck but only when compared to human characters. Meruem, the royals and to a large extent netero are basically beyond that.^ First off.. you are talking like this is a 1 vs 1 battle of Feitan vs. Meruem and its not. We are talking about 5 vs. Meruem, which means every character in the series is in the exact same situation vs Meruem. Why do you think this topic is titled "Best 5 vs. Meruem " lol? That was the only time we have ever seen Feitan fight, which is the same case for most of the troupe in those CA meteor city battles. Feitan is a hell of a lot better a choice than the majority of the cast. A lot of people believe he is strong as fuck, and I'm one of those people. Just because he got scratched a little means he is the worst choice for a battle with Meruem? Why are you thinking so one dimensionally about this?
Hell, you could have Knov take Feitan to his white room and just beat the shit out of him nonstop until Feitain is on the brink of death, or have Phinks do it, whatever floats your boat. Would a final level Pain Packer be more devastating than the rose? Probably not, but you cant just assume you know the maximum potential of every character.
The troupe is known to be some of the deadliest nen users out there.. the Zoldycks make it a rule to stay the F away from them at all costs to keep all family members alive, so why in the hell are you downgrading Feitan so hard? His final pain packer may not even kill him considering his attire during his attack. It would be realistic IMO to say that Rising Sun is the weakest form of PP. He was barely hurt in that fight and his Rising Sun attack literally blew up the entire damn place.
You are underestimating Feitan way too much IMO
Netero was faster than the speed of sound and the king himself could barely react to it. Still, he could react to it enough to be eventually able to predict netero's moves and eventually get to him. Feitain was at his best about as fast as zazan. Zazan was strong but compared to the royals or the king? I would argue she does not have the speed to even somewhat hold back the royals, let alone the king. The speed and power the royals alone had was insane. kaito did not last at all against pitou and her attack started apparently a mile away. There was the bit him being distracted by gon although considering everything things wouldn't have gone much differently in other scenarios. Overall I would argue feitan's top speed will basically look like slow motion to the king. Nothing we ever saw suggests there is a single nen user out there who has anything remotely close to what netero has in terms of speed. The only one in the manga who could actually come close to the speed netero had was cheetu and he could run circles around murao and knuckle.... I doubt feitan is that much faster than either or as even as fast as cheetu.Uh uh, first thing. You all say Feitan lacks the speed. I mean, you do know he is the fastest among Phantom Troupe and one of the fastest people in anime? Netero is the fastest one, but you are all talking like Feitan is so far from Netero in terms of speed when he is actually a lot closer than what you all think. Not to mention his speed starts to increase dramatically the longer the fight lasts. So when teamfighting 5 vs Meruem, that is more than enough to dodge Meruem's lethal damage. Like I said, he would lose limbs and had broken bones all over his body, but that's the point right? No human can go 1v1 vs Meruem.
Feitan's Rising Sun was devastating when he fought the Ant Queen. And with what? Rising Sun is literally charged with how much Feitan has received damage. Queen managed to break his arm. As we don't have another example of his ability we can't say what would happen if Feitan is to lose a leg or something worse?
"All of the wounds and injuries Feitan has received in battle are Transmuted into scorching heat and emitted into the air."
This includes not only physical wounds, also the mentally done ones.
I still think Feitan is more than fair choice for the Best 5.
Well, you are right in that there is no one to directly compare netero in terms of running speed however I would still think he is more than exceptional in that area.If we are talking about movement speed excluding the prayers, I can see Feitan faster than Netero, Netero didn't show how fast he is excepted by prayers. Feitan was faster than Zazan and he was getting faster and faster, they should all be able to react to sound speed, Uvo confirmed they could have protected their ears when he shouted to kill Porcupine and some attacks of Bono are impossible to dodge unless you can do this. Netero's prayers must be much faster than only the speed of sound.
But Feitan would still get crushed, it's impossible for him to resist to one of Meruem's hits even with help, one hit would be enough to kill everyone, he will be unable to activate Pain Packer because he won't be alive to do so.
