A verified spoiler script for the cold open of the first chapter of Boruto: Naruto Next Generation have been posted elsewhere, so it seems the issue has shipped, but it may take a while for the chapter to be scanlated as it's 59 pages.

To summarize:

It opens with a brief flash forward to a confrontation between Boruto and a new character named Kawaki in the ruins of Konohagakure. The Hokage monument is crumbling. They both appear to be in their early 20s, and have what seem to be matching curse seal tattoos on opposite halves of their bodies. Boruto has a vertical scar over his right eye.

Kawaki threatens Boruto, saying, "I'll bury you with the Seventh," then declares that the era of shinobi is over as his tattoo flares red. Boruto dons Sasuke's forehead protector, which has a new scratch that lines up with his scar, and his tattoo glows blue. "Even so... I'm still... a ninja!" Boruto opens his right eye to reveal a byakugan, and the two clash.
