caesarpK thread [Kzer]

[caesarpk]

Hey guys, What's up!
I've just started my career as a translator since I'm still not a perfect English even though I've been in US for 2 years. I have a interesting history but since i don't have time right now i wont explain...anyways my favorate food is sushi, I like to play tennis and baseball, and I have quite a good grade at a good school, but beside that I'm not that outstanding.

I liked Mx0 so I began translating spoilers, then thanks to Sai, I got myself translating releases, but before I can finish three chapters, it ended prematurely...
anyways, right now I'm *planning* to take care of Pat-ken and Toriko, but havn't decided yet;;;
anyways if you have any series you want to me to try, feel free to drop by! I will be pretty bored this summer, so probably I will translate quite a lot. Looking for a scan group to join to

Cool A new Translator... Great To See More Help Here At MH.......

Questions:

Where are you from Originally?
How Did you Learn Japanese?

Its Awesome to see translator to translate new series...

[caesarpk]

I was born in China, and I moved to Japan in the beginnning of my 4th grade year because my father was getting Ph.D in Shiga. So I went to this elementary school, known not a word in Japanese (of course not in english either) except probably Konichiwa and Toire wa doko desuka(where's the bathroom)... then the Home room teacher taught me about science and maths using drawings, and I get to know some really friendly guys too...
After a yeah, I moved to Tokyo, again because my father had acquired a position in Japan's National Cancer Center, and stayed there for sometimes. Now I think back, it was quite a sensational period...
Anyways, this answers your second question, since I stayed in Japan for 3 years as a student

[Koen]

Well be damned, one of the great mx0 active members got a translator status and his own thread.
First of all congratz caesarpk and really glad to have a new (MH) translator over here.

Let's not talk about mx0 over here, we've done that a lot already

What are your other hobbies aside from manga
and where does your nick come from?

[caesarpk]

I play tennis and Baseball, and currently in a high school baseball team as a second baseman. I'm not a starter, so I'm kinda not sure whether I should switch to Tennis since they are in the same season.
I don't really watch TV, because I don't really have TV show that's currently aired every week. Some of you might know, I really like Heroes and it's gonna come back this fall.
Music...currently taking recommendations, but don't have the time&resources to spend on Itunes, but I like beatles a lot (So old...
I used to play Multiplayer games but until I get a better internet connection I'm not going back online. I used to play Maplestory and Mabinogi, but I kinda sucked so yeah...I also play Single-player games like Heores of M&M III and AoE.
I like math and science, since i dont have to study so much in order to get an A.
Books...Ender's series, liked it, and many other books by Orson Scott Card. Harry potter too. I read a lot
Don't play instruments. I've no talent

[Koen]

Cheers for the sportsman in you and the fact you're not into TV
The beatles very great - best group ever there's been

math and science - let's say if I am water, those are oil

maybe you overlooked:
1. the nick, where does it come from?
2. how did you find out about mangahelpers?

[caesarpk]

The nickname...well...you mean [Caesar] and [Kzer]?
I think Kzer were the name of Russian Emperors who modeled their names to Caesar
As for caesar...
we were learning about Shakespeare when I registered, and I also wanted to be quite famous so I took the name. The last two letters are initials for my real name.

How I got to mangahelpers... google
I was searching for the new chapter (think it was 187?) of Tsubasa RC, I came across the link here. Then I don't remember why, but probably after reading the thread by njt somewhere saying if you can speak japanese, you should help with tling. So I joined and found out that TRC didn't need anyone and so I wandered around and got to here

[nxlouco]

xD thats How I also Found About MH,

Have You Read Bari Haken?
Would You Consider Translating It ;P?

[caesarpk]

Bari Haken I've 5 chapters of Raw in my computer, I've read 3, it's really funny. From a translator's point of view, it's not a easy series to translate, but I can try. Though I thought njt said he's gonna take care of it, didn't he? Oh well, I will give you an answer next week

By the way, where do you go to get awesome sigs and avatar?

[GGpX]

Heya~ How's it going. Welcome to MH.

Have you read any of the Tough series? By Saruwatari Tetsuya. They ran in the same magazine as Gantz. If you have, what's your opinion on them?

Have a good one.

[caesarpk]

Nope. Thanks for recommendations though ^^
What is it about?

[GGpX]

The first series, Koukou Tekken-den Tough is about Miyazawa Kiichi (Kiibo) training under the Nadashinkage, a secret martial art that is taught to him by his father, Miyazawa Seiko (Oton). His goal is to become the next Bruce Lee or Jackie Chan, to be a internationally known martial artist that is in many movies. As the series progesses, it moves away from his original goal and more into him being interested in getting stronger and fighting against the best.

Second series, Tough is essentially the sequel to Koukou Tekken-den Tough but focuses more on tournament fighting than anything.

Third "series" (If you wanna call it that) is Oton. It's side-stories involving Kiibo's father, Oton.

My group is Editing Koukou Tekken-den Tough and is planning on doing Oton (Well, we've been waiting on the translator for a while, and I don't know if we'll ever get to it.).

[nxlouco]

By the way, where do you go to get awesome sigs and avatar?

xD well I got mine from the Sig Shop Here at MH, However its been closed
Although You can try and PM Akasunanosasori and see what he can do for ya...

Maybe You should try some Seinen Manga, Some are really awesome!! Jackals which is being scanlated by Strays ,with now the help of GGpX's Team, Is Really cool, Black God is also very nice!!

Questions:
Have you been anywhere other than the three places you've mentioned(China,USA,Japan)?
Favorite Anime?
Favorite Movie?

[caesarpk]

Mainly martial arts fighting? those are not my favorate genre, since blood&violence close to reality doesn't make feel comfortable. It sounds to me that Koukou Tekkenden is a better read of the three. Well, thanks for recommedation, but is it on Onemanga.com? Or doyou release them on your group forum?
Forgot to mention it, I also read Black God. It's a great series, with all the dopple-liner and stuff, but it's just getting updated too slow. (no update in two month...?) Looked at the first page of Jackals. Wow. I'm gonna see what's it about
Nope, have never been anywhere else. My family doesn't travel around much, but I would like to visit Rome, Paris, Hawaii, and Egypt
Fovorate Anime? All I watch is based on Manga, I used to like Bleach, but not anymore. TRC OVA were really nice though. but I can't really watch much wiith my current connection anyways.
Movies? I'm not sure. I used to watch a lot when I'm in japan, but now I don't really have the time to. The last survivor on earth movie (forgot the name) looked really cool, i wanna try it. Got any recommendations?

[nxlouco]

Umm Movie Recommendations, Don't got any xD......
Have You Read Sket Dance Before? Liked It?
Favorite Color?
Favorite Naruto Character?

[caesarpk]

Forgot to mention, I don't read Naruto. Seen 3-4 episodes of the anime, but never tried it. It...should be good. since it's that popular, but...anyways, I guess didn't have the time to read 400 chapters.
Color: blue and green. Black maybe. Don't have much preference except pink
Nope, Haven't read Sket Dance. Is it...about dancing...?

[Yabe]

Have you had any serie you're interested to translating at the moment?

I'm no good at Editing nor translating - but there is a serie that is good and there is only one group I know made them scanlated/translated. Since you're open to recommendation, if you haven't yet had any special manga in your mind, is it okay looking up for 'Angel Heart'?

Evil_Genius's scanning the serie and it is not in MH's Edited Mangas lists.

[nxlouco]

xD Sket Dance is a Shonen Comedy Manga, no dancing....You should try it out, maybe translate it :P
