Coloring Question

For anyone who knows how to color...im having lineart problems...i follow the procedures to get lineart. The whole Channels + Circle (Select All) + Delete.

I end up with this (you cant see it on this black bg of the forums:

while im apparently suposed to get line all lines like this (not mine, took it from a tut. Dont mind the background):

See how theres no black left in the latter one...what am i doing wrong?

You're not doing anything wrong. The one in Amaretti's tutorial is the original page cleaned by someone, who removes most, if not all of the extra black and leaves the lines. The selection thing takes out the white, and leaves the black, but if you continue deleting you will lower the opacity of the black.

then how do i delete the black? Because i need to color over it.

Some people tend to colour on the lines itself when they want to colour the blacks but i think thats wrong.

I would say getting or making lineart would be the best way.

You can color over the black, and then erase parts of the color so the black will show through.
