I've been lurking on the forums for quite a time and i constructed a theory on the aliens initial behavior and how they changed later in the manga:
First let's take a look on how the first two aliens behaved:
The onion aliens and the robot rock lee's were oblivious to the hunters actions meaning the previous hunts(nishi and izumi time) where more self contained in that they didn't go after dangerous aliens like the nura and oni whose disappearance would not be noticed by the alien community,but who also caused problem to everyone else,so that when they disappeared they figured one of their own offed then,but after the hunter started going after the ones who where peaceful like the onion and rock lee they started noting something was amiss.
And now every other alien:when they went after the Buddha aliens,that was when the aliens in tokyo area got aware of the hunters intentions:to hunt every single one of then peaceful or not,so rumors started going around fast,so much that in the next mission the aliens were prepared for the hunters attack and Kurono almost got screwed because of that.
And from then on the aliens were prepared one way or another,but the aliens in general were becoming increasingly agitated everywhere,and it wasn't because of the hunters alone,they probably knew the giants were coming so they were amassing their species in armies as seen in the nura and roman aliens who were essentially ready for anything.
And now for the second part of my theory:Their presence, motivations and the bugs in Gantz game/hunt
1-presence and motivations
Don't you guys find strange that incredibly strong aliens lived without killign everyone else in the area?My theory is that they wanted to hide the best they could,not from humans or the other aliens on earth,but from aliens that were coming to earth or near earth,because really, the nura alien could every other alien with just the eye beams oni boss be dammed.I think they where more refuges than anything else who probably had their planets obliterated and managed to get to earth and try to hide as best as they could.
2-the bugs
I think the bugs started when the giants got wind of what the humans stole from then,and started to jam their gantz balls and because of that they started to randomly transport then,and about that German guy,he probably is the prototype of the guys who go inside the gantz ball OR is another alien we do not know at the moment.
Now if you would kindly discus this boredom fueled rant i would be most grateful
