Which theory is worse, this one or the one about a cover spread showing Zoro would die in chapter 900-something?

Why do people keep thinking color spreads are hints at Oda's future plans?

Wait, what? There was a theory like that?

There are theories around almost any colorsspread, and they never turn out true.

People that theorize about them use a colorsspread of Brook holding an Ace card as proof.

But the Ace of Spades symbolizes death in general.

They are in a graveyard, one of the gravestones had a number in the 900's, and poof, a theory that Oda had planned for Zoro to die in chapter 900-something. It was beyond silly.

This is not a theory at all. It's a general discussion.

How is it not a theory? You took a color spread, and decided it "means" something for the future of the manga. Something very specific.

Indeed it's not a theory at all. Because it's a general discussion that would it make sense for you to have another 10-year-timeskip.

And this would be a prediction. Not a theory at all. But I'm afraid it's just a simple discussion.

I think Oda will skip months or even a year before the final battle at Mary Geoise.

The climax of the series is finding the One Piece, that means everything thereafter is epilogue.

Telling every previously encountered ally exactly the same story is redundant, and freeing random minor countries from the WG is boring after we got Big Mom, Kaido and Blackbeard.

If anything Impel Down gets a featured chapter, showing them freeing Bentham and probably Senor Pink and completing Hannyabal's character arc with his career ending in total disaster.

For the final arc I can see some minor design changes, but mostly in demeanor, they are all going to be confident af.

I don't think it's an epilogue after Laugh Tale to be honest. Roger's whole thing after getting there was "Damn, I'm too early". Something will come of laughtale to setup the final arc, and it won't be a simple epilogue, it will be the very thing that's been hinted at since Water 7 at least, with Robin's backstory and the void century.

I see Laugh Tale ending with "What do we do next Pirate King", and them excited that they are going to end this period of history.

The problem is, and unfortunately is a fact that I can see from the last 2 verses of Binks' Sake that Luffy is going to disband thr crew forever and then he will reunite it for a last upcoming adventure!

Lol, i can't take you seriously with these "facts".

(also you can't disband a crew forever and then reunite....)

Yes I can disband a crew forever and reunite! AFTER A LONG TIME! Because you think that, 10 years is a really long time and when you reunite a crew you thought that it's going to last forever that you won't see your friends anymore.

So you should take me seriously in this case.

A 10 year time skip would require the crew to get a whole new redesign, and doing something like that at story end guarantees that you are throwing money away from your merchandising and toys, you cant make new products and toys if the "advertising"(story) has ended, there would be no media out there pushing the stuff off the shelves.

Naruto merch did poorly and they tried to make Baruto to push the stuff but failed(except in JPN), dont even get me started on bleach they failed miserably the only thing Bleach had going for it is a game, and people have started watching Bleach globally more since end of 2018 that's why they are trying to cash in more with a new anime so they can use it to push more toys, merch and games.

Manga sales on average amount to 30% of total income with games, merch and toys making up 50% while movies and anime make up the rest, you cant sacrifice toys just so you can make your characters all grown up, it the same as burning money.
Look at Dragon Ball, they will never make Goten and Trunk grow up for as long as possible because they wont be able to get that toy money, i mean in the story they should be 15/16 but they still look 8 because of toys need to go.
Redesigning the entire crew is literally how you get more toys to sell. If it throws off your readers or hurts the story is an entire separate issue.

That is true, but my point still remains they cant make at 10 year timeskip at end of the manga since the story wont be able to push the new redesigns since it would have ended.

You cant push new merch without the story pushing it, the only way is if Oda after a hiatus comes back to do a new arc/saga so people can get used to it.

It really depends. If oda decides to end the manga with a good look at the strawhats as hardened pirates with a decade of experience just owning the sea and everyone in it then I would think merch producers would preemptively buy 80s wall street amounts of cocaine while fans have massive fangasms. Just picture it, the last thing we see in the manga is a 30 year old pirate king luffy in full pirate king attire and, dunno, beard alongside a similarly hardened zoro who has been the WSS for a decade and franky sporting a straight up optimus prime look. Even if this was an EOS thing I would think fans would snort it as if they were 80s wall street executive stereotypes.

Franky's final form - Thousand Sunny merges with his General Franky...actually, this could happen by the arc they face BB's crew, then he can fight Sanjuan Wolf!

A 10 year timeskip could make sense if Oda wants it to, that's the bottom line. Personally though, I'd like to see Luffy and crew achieve their goals within this current timeline. One timeskip is more than enough and was rightly needed so the crew could get strong enough to survive the NW. Now they can and Oda is giving the fighers power ups left and right, there wouldn't really be a need for another one.

On top of this, a lot of what is destined to happen is around this time; specifically the JoyBoy and liberating Wano. Whatever the crew learn from this, it's supposed to help them towards the end of the journey. Having them wait 10 years to then see that off is weird. Though I can see a scenario as @kkck described happening after.

I'm still failing to understand how chapter 941 foreshadows anything you mentioned.
