I'd go with it and it wouldn't be that difficult to believe but then again, I already feel like there's too many double agents around. or have been at least.

I bet the last road poneglyph is in Elbaf after Big Mom took it from fishman island. She offered it as a gift to Loki during the marriage ceremony with Lola.

i doubt it. I don't see how a red poneglyph has any meaning for the elbaf country. And big mom is really careful about her road poneglyph after having its content stolen by roger. Will be weird if big mom just gave away one

"The King of the World"

This is what Luffy and Roger said to their brothers.

When Roger said it, Whitebeard asked wether he was a child.

When Luffy said it, who was a child at that time, Ace reacted disturbed.

"King of the World" fits this idea. It is what a child wants to be, the "one who decides" in everything, and that is especially true for an uneducatable child like Luffy.

Oda always says he is like a child... The mentality of a child is central to Oda himself. "Sugar is the wellspring of strenght", "You live twice as long if you don't sleep", all the cigarettes and the Cola. Totally sounds like a person that didn't listen to his parents at all.

However Oda is also known for having a social understanding that far exceeds that of a child - he knows that "Kids who have never seen war and kids who have never seen peace have different values", there is also a similar quote as a commentary on 9/11:

There are adults that kill people while declaring, "This is a holy war!", or "This is justice!" And there are children that see that. One Piece will continue for quite some time. All the while praying for world peace.

Oda isn't condemning what the Djihadists did here, rather he is worried about the "stories" from both sides ("or") that lead to such action, what effect they have on children and he pretty much spells out his own agenda here (also in his head in the SBS with the Strawhats' thoughts).

King of the World is what Xebec wanted to be, whom Roger faced, and it is what Im is, who has Luffy's symbols.

This story idolizes conquerors and there is a certain danger to that. Luffy is a pagan Jesus, but Doflamingo manipulates people with lies and and a majority of them is deaf to any criticism.

If you follow the current US election, one of the candidates would certainly have CoC, and it is not the polite grandpa. There are negative aspects of "conquerors", plenty of them, and Oda knows.

The "King of the World" having Luffy's symbols (Buddha, Storm God) and apparently caretaking a giant Strawhat as if it were "his Bible"... I think there is a high chance that Joyboy was the King of the World, too, either actually or metaphorically (like Jesus).

And if that is true, then the World Government is actually a twisted interpretation of One Piece. A world order to create a peaceful status quo... And Im lets the Tenryubito do what what they want because they are Joyboy's Nakama in Im's roleplay.

Oda is always drawing these parallels and Luffy has like a dozen twins and counterparts in this story, and the final one will be Im, so the question involved should be "What is (the) One Piece about".

Luffy will give up on the world after conquering it. That's the story coming full circle and the "coming-of-age" element in this Shonen and in Oda's life.

Doesn't work, when the arrangement with Loki took place, Whitebeard was still protecting Fishman Island.

I think this window has been closed. As just a stepping stone for Akainu, there wouldn't be any need to create such a mystery out of Im and he would just be a generic Tenryubito.

A theory about King's Haki:

King's haki is unique but it doesn't do anything major to someone who is equally strong as the user. So what's it's real use?

Since the manga is about Luffy, I base my prediction on how useful it's going to be for him.

Luffy is someone who relies on his DF too much. Take it away and he is very weak. Does apply for other users but let's focus on him.

BB on other hand will most probably have multiple fruits and also DF cancel ability.

Therefore, Luffy will have to face someone with multiple DF user ability while being nerfed. So, I think King's Haki (advanced) is an ability to scare the Devil's inside the DF to nullify their ability. The haki works exceptionally well on BB because he has multiple devil's inside him.

Kaido didn't eat a dragon df fruit

kaido is simply a species that can turn into dragons. which explains his/yamato's persistent horns and why his fruit hasn't been named yet.

(...or they're dragons that can turn into humans- whichever.) :smoke

And what about the horns of the rest of the crew?

It’s weird to me when someone refers to One Piece as being about Luffy, because I feel that his crew and the world of One Piece itself have gone on to be just as relevant as he himself even thought he’s the leading main character, as I definitely don’t want to say that Zoro and the others are just simply supporting characters.

That's what I wanted to believe, until the Amazon Lily arc ended in which I wanted to see the others got equal screen time but nope. The others at most only got two pages and two cover stories.

just so i don't repeat it every chapter release...

Theory: Oda left one piece and no longer has a major (...if any) role in its creation.

There's a lot of angles to this theory, so i'll just cover the major bits (...maybe even update it at a later point).

When did he leave? :

I'd say around marineford.

though i believe he was probably already out of the building at this point. perhaps coming back around punk hazard after the abysmal fishmen island arc and then leaving again around dressrosa. You can remove the entirety of fmi arc, besides a few of the later scenes, and lose nothing of value. Jump was running around in oda's world, with no clue on how to run it.

marineford wasn't a bad arc but if you look back on it- eerily, all the characters are kind of just standing around looking at each other. kind of like whoever was writing, knew all the key points, but wasn't given anything in regards to smaller character interactions. Also blackbeard stealing whitebeard's powers. Why cover up the act? From his actions after getting the ability, he seemed like he was planning on killing everyone there. the whole thing just read like the writer in question had no idea how he did it either so they just came up with the cloak.

Why? :

there are a lot of reasons why he (could've) left. i'm leaning more towards creative differences with jump. If you read early one piece it's not even really a shonen manga. It's more gag/comedy. So i think, in an atempt to make one piece more marketable, Jump wanted One piece to be more shonen like.

and by shonen like i mean... If you've ever read the original One punch man webcomic and seen what jump did to the manga in comparison. You can clearly tell jump has an archetype of what they believe a successful manga to be.

besides personally rubbing oda the wrong way, jump seems to be kind of a scummy business as a whole. there attempts at anime alone has left a black eye on the medium. one piece's (one of the highest grossing franchise on the planet) anime has some of the worst animation in the industry. so to think they'd put some wacky idea of success, before their own creator's wishes... isn't that absurd.

results of leaving...

art style: emotive/disney-like -> lifeless/shonen-like

quality of writing: emotions everywhere -> flat 2-d characterizations of once lively characters

scheduling issues: honestly, back then i didn't follow manga that heavily. so i can't say anything for pre but post has been a cluster f***. if oda was really that sick, the manga would just go the way of hunter x hunter / berserk.

shifts in writing style between arc...

I'll just quote myself here

fmi felt like it was written by someone with only a superficial knowledge of one piece
punk was like a fanfic
dressrosa was slow as molasses and had horrible direction
zou played out like bullet points
wci moved like it had a fire under its ass
wano... feels like the work of a disheartened intern (with a possible writer shift towards the final stretch)

...i'll just leave it at this for now.

I would even guess it's the other way around, Big Mom's Poneglyph originated from Elbaf.

My crazy prediction is that Shinobu will mature Momonosuke.

I know her powers are said to work only on inanimate objects, but maybe is like Law's power where using it on another human being would cost you your own life. In any case, Momo might achieve a powerful physique but with funny facial hair and pimples.

I'll top that. Jewelry Bonney is fleeing with the revolutionaries from Marie Geois and they'll end up in Wano. She has the power to change the age of a person. She will mature Momonosuke into a 18 year old and he will then lead wano.

As you might know, I have previously alluded to the idea that King is a Tengu. There is Tenguyama Hitetsu, who has the same pair of wings as King, much different from the Skypeans ones.

This is a Karasu Tengu, and apparently the Karasu Tengu predates the long nosed Tengu that looks just like Tenguyama Hitetsu:

Prediction: Final act of Wano begins with 1000th chapter. More than likely, Luffy prepares to finally fight Kaido one on one.

This is a good one. Even if the race portion doesn't turn out to be true, I can easily see his hybrid form being an allusion to the Yokai.

I got a real wild tip about Elder Nyon's real identity. Her real name is PORTGAS D. GLORIOSA, which means that she's the mother and Grandmother of PORTGAS D. ROUGE AND PORTGAS D. ACE.

We all know that she's been telling about that when she was in love, she needed to leave Amazon Lily immediately. And then I know somehow that she was living in Lougetown with her husband. But her husband has passed away earlier. Her daughter, Rouge has found a man (Roger), that she's been impregnated by and she's bren glad to hear about her grandson, Ace being born, but she's been sad while she's heard about the death of her daughter, Rouge. She wasn't showing any kind of emotions when she heard the rumors about the death of Ace. At least not in front of anybody, but she's been really sad about it. We may get to that part, when the Marines and CP-0 will attack Amazon Lily in the final arc and Gloriosa will be on her death.

And about her characterization, that's why she's the relative of Rouge and Ace because she knew that, who was Rayleigh and Roger exactly. AND she's helped him getting Hancock back. Moreover - I know, and you may know that there are 100s of characters whom are wearing flowers in their hairs -, But Gloriosa's wearing the same flower as Rouge did. But that flower had dried long ago. So Rouge has been able to hold it for 1,5 years due to her Amazon Bloodline.

But again. It's just a wild tip/bet.
