gears is the strongest god seed, one god seed was playing around with gray (i think hes name was metro?)

Which means we can't scale using that. Laxus would've replicated it if Acno was not serious as well

He does seem like the 2nd strongest based to Aldo seed's reaction. Still, we don't know where Gears stands relative to really anyone in pure stats. Which means we can't scale Jellal to anyone based on that performance.

Both of Laxus' feats before and after the fight says that shit makes absolutely no sense. Yet he still did it!

IF he can make Erza give him an extreme diff, he can certainly make Jellal give him a stalemate lol.
Cause unlike Erza, Jellal was always considered around same level as Laxus, like since day 1. Both of them being directly relative to Jura, Jellal being basically "Mystogan" etc kinda solidified that portrayal

So that is definitely not the reason he doesn't do the fight. You think Mashima cares about what makes sense or not at this point. lmao

Nice headcanon. Jellal used GC and Sema in succession on the Seis and they were still conscious afterwards. Odds are, Jellal would have used Sema, Jura would have tanked it and Mt Fuji'ed his ass.

I'd say these two GOATS have a comparable amount of Magic Power while Laxus has greater raw power with his Red Lightning (not by much though) but is also more durable and has greater physical strength.

I can see Jellal as smarter or faster (debatable with the last one I think) and he is sure more versatile and has greater defensive abilities.

The fact is that Laxus is a tank while Jellal isn't but Jellal would probably held his own because he is versatile and has good defense.

So I think Laxus takes this with high difficulty. Or maybe I can push to extreme?

He will push him to extreme diff, always will. With how FT is structured, there is no way than a Laxus vs Jellal/Mystogan doesn't go to an extreme diff fight no matter who takes it.

What proof is there that it isn't related to them being evenly matched? They were teased to face off twice in this series and were called the 2 hardest opponents by Lucy. Natsu even said that the strongest would be in the center so Laxus, Mira or Jellal.

And if Erza can stuggle to tie with Laxus I don't see why Jellal can't.

That's really a reach IMO.

Nothing indicates that this fails to relate to power and this is in addition to two of them clashing being teased in 100 years quest a few times with no pay off which would indicate (now I'm throwing my headcanons out there) that it would be a balanced, 'nice' fight.

I mean they are portrayed as close and it was even stated by Natsu, Lucy etc. that Jellal and Laxus are among the strongest enemies they had to face (with Mira) and that Jellal and Laxus are the 2 hardest opponents (above Mira).

INB4 Natsu saying he doesn't care about Jellal means Laxus and Mira > Jellal. IIRC the actual translation if Jellal is fine too.

And unless Erza surpassed Jellal I don't see why Erza can draw with Laxus but Jellal is surely below him and would lose. Mashima clearly doesn't think that Jellal is on a lower level than Laxus and Erza.
