Naruto 505: The Nine-Tails’ Chakra Unleashed
Epic Foreshadowing
So the flashback ends and Kushina’s words resonate in Naruto’s hear, mind, and body. Heeding every word she told him before her death, kinda like Naruto fulfilling her mother’s dying wishes. Moving on though, Naruto claims to strive to become “more bad-ass” than his father and a stronger ninja then her mother. I personally see this as a great foreshadowing of the battle between Tobi/Uchiha Madara and Naruto, except this time Naruto will be able to finish what his father has started; the ass kicking of this main villain. As for the latter of his statement where he becomes a stronger ninja than her mother, I really see it in two ways:
First off, he might be referring to him controlling his Bijuu better
Second, it might be another foreshadowing about the extraction of his Bijuu, but even then he would still be able to carry out his life mission unlike his mother.
Either way, this is no longer the Naruto that we knew in season 1 who barely used his brain and just let his emotions get the best of him, and certainly much better than the Naruto we knew several chapters ago who fainted because of his buddy Sasuke.
Breaking free from a Genjutsu
So apparently unlike KillerBee, Naruto’s chakra supply is on a separate “tank” from his original. Now assuming Naruto gets caught in a genjutsu from either Sasuke or Madara, we can safely assume that he can use the 9 tails’ immense and monstrous chakra in order to “disturb” his chakra flow to break free from the genjutsu. I really see this to be the only reason other than avoiding to be so conspicuous walking around with such chakra density and volume. As we know Naruto and 9 tails isn’t really in good terms (at least for now) unlike the 8 tails and Killer Bee where when Killer Bee gets caught in a genjutsu, 8 tails will be there to break him free out of it, so I believe that this is Kishimoto’s way to show that genjutsu won’t break Naruto down.

Being able to harness the 9 tails’ according to his will is an amazing feat and of course comes with a plethora of upgrades and boosts. With that said, gaining the ability to sense “hatred” or “evil presence” isn’t an ability I am really thrilled about, I mean I don’t know, it just doesn’t come across to me as something I would really admire. Now that doesn’t necessarily mean that I don’t like it, for now I’ll just stay on the fence on this. Having said all that according to our knowledge, the 9 tails is very reactive to negative presence, now Naruto being able to control this it would only make sense for him to absorb some (if not all) of the 9 tails’ ability, and it so happens that one of them would be his sensitivity to hatred and evil presence.

So with Kisame being found, he decides to make the run for it because fighting 2 jinchuuriki’s and a mokuton is, and I quote “a bit much... even for him” a bit much? Just a bit much? I believe a more appropriate way to go about it would be “simply overwhelming and just way too much”. Nevertheless, why did Kisame become that useless cocoon looking thing? I mean, the body that was killed back then was just a zetsu clone right? So why not just use your original body? He would have so much more chance of escaping if he used his original body that have legs and arms that can wield a sword as opposed to a bug with no arms nor legs, just little insect legs.
Another clue about Aloe Vera and Madara
Some of you may or may not have read my reviews before, and back then I remember saying that the white zetsu is a mere puppet or weapon that can be used and killed as many times and still be fine just as long as the black zetsu is fine – and I will stand by this statement because this is another point that supports my point. I believe that there is a direct correlation between Zetsu and Madara:

We saw Tobi/Madara handling something like Zetsu when Sasuke and Team 7 were face to face and Zetsu came to help Sasuke, and then told Madara about the situation.

It’s fun to squish bugs
In this situation, it really looks like Kisame is done, he is surrounded by Kumo and Konoha nins and there is no way he can beat or escape all of them. But that doesn’t mean that he is dead meat right now because I believe that he will survive this, look at the picture I posted, instead of Naruto using a rasengan on Kisame like this:

all he does really is just a right hand punch when he could have ended things right away with a dangerous Akastuki member who tried to capture him before, so if Kisame will die then Kishimoto would have killed him in that blow, instead of stringing his life along like that. Just like Kakashi in the Pain arc, Kishi never “killed” Kakashi visibly, like Tsunade, if Kishi was going to kill her then he would kill her, straight to the point – same idea as Kisame.
Another thing point that I have is how sharp and how excellent Zetsu’s spore or clone technique is that it was unnoticed even by the Kages and their bodyguards, his technique was also undetected by Sasuke and team 7. On top of that Madara specifically sent Kisame to infiltrate the ninja alliance in order to gather as much information as possible, now Kisame fulfilling his role why would Madara just leave Kisame for dead after containing all that valuable information? It just doesn’t add up.
Rating: 8/10
Pretty good chapter overall, there is nothing to insane in this chapter but it isn’t a dull chapter either, so like I said, pretty good chapter overall.
Predictions:
I strongly believe that this is not the end of Kisame and that he would be saved by one of the three:
Madara
Zetsu
Kabuto

Great chapter, I would really like to know more about Akatsuki’s movement lately.
