Question Devil Slayer Magic and "making" Devil Slayer Magic ?

Hello people,

Last chapter, Gray said that what froze the air wasn't ice but "made" Devil Slayer magic. I don't really understand what happened.
While in Devil Slayer mode, Gray uses usually Demon Slayer Magic in his ice which was ineffective against Vierness' Alchemy. What is the difference ?

I understand that Glittering Ice is a condense Devil Slayer magic ice, and this is why it turned black like his demon part.
But I still don't understand the concept : Wendy said that he combined his Devil Slayer magic to his ice to freeze the air but Gray answered he "made" Devil Slayer Magic. Can someone explain the difference and the concept, please ?

One is infused ice while the other is pure crystallized magic? So ice with devil slaying power added in vs pure magic thats given the power to freeze?

I honestly dont know for sure...maybe a better translation will clear the issue.

Gray shaped something made of pure energy with the form and properties of ice, but it wasn't exactly ice.

From what I understand, he didn’t use his traditional Ice-Make magic. Instead, he molded the energy of the Devil Slayer magic/curse into the shape and characteristics of ice using his Maker magic. I could be wrong, but that’s my interpretation.

Nothing makes any sense now. Just think of it as anti magic particles that demons use all the time, that would at least work against DG

I think, the difference is something like this :

* Grey uses Demon Slayer Magic to produce exorcist property in his Ice for his creations. This is "Ice Make" in Devil Slayer Mode : Ice Creation with Black Magic as base : Anti-Demonic Magical Ice.

Here, he produce the contrary :

* Grey uses Ice to produce freezing property in his Devil Slayer Magic for his creations : This is "Devil Slayer Make" in Demon Slayer Mode : Black Magic Creation with Ice as base : Freezing Black Magic.

So Grey realized his real potential as a Maker and I think Ice Fire is the same :

* Grey used Ice to produce fire property for his creations. This is "Burning Ice Make" in Demon Slayer Mode : Fire Creation with Ice as base : Burning Magical Ice.

He can now give his ice different properties. And we can add that Grey can now produce "Static Ice Make" and "Mobile Ice Make".

Grey begins to be a beast....

It's pretty much the same thing as during Zancrow vs Natsu fight, but with ice. Natsu couldn't eat Zancrow flames as God Slayer Flames were different than "regular" flames. He did eventually by some shenanigans, but it was clear it was different fire.
Therefore it's just than Ice-Make streghten by Devil Slayer Magic is different element than Ice Devil Slayer Magic.

It was not shenanigans. How natsu defeated zancrow was explained. He emptied himself from his own magic to be able to eat zancrow's flames.

Perhaps Lecka who has a special fire that even Natsu can't eat. But for me, Grey has nothing to proove in this arc anymore. He is now top rank. Waiting for Erza and Natsu evolutions....

Seems like as a maker wizard he just can nake anything now, like he made flames of ice. I think he create new version of the devil slayer magic.
So Gray prob can make anything now like Lucy can summon things that aren't her cs.

I agree.... But we will see how far they will go in their new league of magic as they opened a new door in their specialities. This end of the arc, the main team will be the strongest of the Guild (at least, Erza, Natsu and Grey).
