*currently re-reading DGM again (I'm a really fast reader)---
-How could Allen's right hand do anything harm to that Lv3 Akuma (ch.82)? That is nothing related to his musician's power.
-Lvellie's full name is "Malcom C. Lvellie". I don't really know much how English works with middle names, but could it be the "C" stands for "Campbell"?
-Why did Apocreepy say "Allen's re-awakening", not "Nea's" or "The 14th's"? It sounds really off to me

I don't know why it says "bzzt" when Allen's hand smacks that akuma's shoulder, but in the Japanese text, it's. 「ピシ」 ("pishi"). This can be a mental sense of "shock," or sense of the akuma "freezing" in place (out of shock), but isn't like a literal electric shock as the English sound effect text seems to imply. Anyway, Allen doesn't have any special right arm powers there. He just took the akuma by surprise.

Only first and middle names are abbreviated in English speaking countries, for the most part. Also, first names and middle names are similar (usually the same set of names used for first names is used for middle names, though now and then you'll find people with middle or even first names that sound like a last name), and can be abbreviated without abbreviating the last name. BUT last names aren't generally abbreviated unless you're abbreviating the person's entire name. (So for Lvellie you could expect "MCL" but not "Malcolm C. L." --normally) Also, if the C was short for the family name "Campbell," meaning he had two family names, then the typical thing would be not to treat it as a middle name but to write the name as "Malcolm Campbell-Lvellie. Hyphenation. So Malcolm's middle name being "Campbell" is extremely unlikely, imo. Just speaking of how things tend to go in cultures with these names but who knows what Hoshino might come up with, lol...

Whoa, which chapter did Apo say that in again? There's a lot of confusion out there as to what he meant and who he was "merging" with. I'd like to take a look. ^_^;

Oh? Whoops. Well pretty much the same thing on the next page anyway. "Piri" and "pishi" are used there. I really think it's more about the mood.

Apo's line in 216:
「この３ヶ月おまえは尽くワタシの邪魔をし、アレンの覚醒は始まってしまった」
"These past three months you've constantly impeded me, and (because of that) Allen's awakening has begun."

I think he just says "Allen's awakening" because it's happening *to* Allen but I suppose it's possible Allen could be remembering something from his past too. (Something Apo wouldn't want him to remember.)

I'm also re-reading DGM, now that my colletion is complete (found and bought the last missing ones a few weeks ago).
I'm on volume 2.

There is possibly the same sound when Allen fought lvl 2 (Chapter 10, pages 1 and 2). It's Tzzzz in the brazilian vestion. It's part of the wound done to the lvl 2 when he punched Allen. Right after checking the wound, the lvl 2 was sure that Allen was an exorcist. So maybe the Bzzz/Tzzz is part of the effect after touching innocence/exorcist?

Actually didn't Allen use his left hand for that one (in chapter 9)? (It looked like it to me...) That's a "sizzle" sound effect (ジュウウウウ). XD

That said, maybe nonchan was getting at how Bak said Allen's "entire existence" had become an "anti-akuma weapon." I still don't take that literally, but that might be why his mere touch (in chapter 82) was enough to (figuratively) "shock" an akuma. It was a symbolic thing.

Either serialization resumes or volume 24 will have less pages that other DGM volumes use to have. Hoping for the first one.

If that's true, shouldn't the cover image be released soon?

Also, doesn't that mean the volume will be much shorter than others? Do they just release it like that or will they bundle Ayakashi no Ou/Kaiten with it or something else to make up for the pages?

Or would there be something like the extras we got with Fo back in the Alma Arc or the one with Timothy and Komui playing chess sometime ago?

When I think about it, there's no time for a chapter to come out, though... unless they don't plan to give a heads up in advance like they said they would, and even then the volume and the chapter would come out in the same month. I don't think Shueisha would want to do that, as a business... :/ (I expect they'll put an ad for it in the next edition of the magazine. If we're lucky, the planned resumption notice or some further info of some sort will be bundled along with it too.)

I'm guessing there's just going to be bonus content for the volume and it's still anyone's guess when a new chapter can come out. I hope sooner rather than later...

How reliable is Amazon.co.jp with something like this...?
I might just totally be misunderstanding the listing, but it looks like it'd sold and shipped from Amazon themselves, and from what I've heard, that's as reliable as Amazon gets? What throws me off is that I even happened on it (I wouldn't trust myself if it came down to it) and that the price is more than twice the usual price for the volumes ;;;; I'm just not sure what the listing is actually for!

I think they usually release the cover image only a week or so after the volume's release date but I could be wrong.

Even though the announcement is only volume 24's release date, I'm glad we're getting DGM news! There are readers who only read the tankobon so I'm sure the Japanese fandom will become active in November.
