Thank you a lot of comments. D.Gray-man sequel is in writing. But, it is when to posted is that decide the people who support me, you can not announcement from me.

Meaning, she's been writing the continuation of D.Gray-Man. When it will be published will be decided by the publishers and her staff (editor). She will not announce when it will return on her Instagram.

Please let me explain further. When to post D.Gray-man is that decide to think I together with people who support me.

Meaning, they (the publishers and editor) will decide when to publish D.Gray-Man.

I have that feeling that she did submit something, which is what I (and other users here) kind of gauged by this, but even if she did, she's at the mercy of the Jump publishers. They mostly plan their magazine releases ahead of time, but there are always last minute changes per month should a mangaka get sick or is unable to meet a submission deadline (ala, give the manuscript/clean copy to the editor).

We most likely will see a 219 this year. It's only a matter of time, unless the ironic thing happens that it comes out on the month that it was suppose to come out two-three years ago.

It looks like some fans got together on Tumblr and DeviantArt to write their own ending to DGM. They've just put out their chapter 219. If you want to check it out, you can find the first page here.

It warms my heart to see fandom collaborations like this happening despite the long hiatus.

So, umm.. I'm always in the shadows reading the topics from this forum (my grammar in English is horrible no matter how much I study ;w; ), but I was reading the manga again and this particular page intrigued me:

Is from the chapter 137, and to think about a person (apparently an old man) is in the Order for protection, of afraid of the Earl because he know about the 14 it's really interesting. But i'm a little afraid that Hoshi may have forgotten about this person because he was never mentioned again, but again, maybe she is waiting for a good moment (?) I mean if we see D.gray-man again (hopes)
I don't know, what do you think? Some ideas?
ps: By the way, I don't know if i'm in the right topic for this. Aaaand sorry for my English ;w;

Don't worry. There is always mysteries in shounen that take 400 chapters or more to be revealed.
Or more than 100 in monthly mangas.

I am also expecting to hear from that person in this flashback and for now, i am betting on someone from the Campbell family, someone that helped Nea and Mana to run away.
Some Noahs get married to humans, so this mysterious person could be a human that married a Noah and discovered everything.

Hoshino even remembers the small detail that Miranda used to give Allen candies after a small mission, so I guess she wouldn't forget a plot-related person, plus DGM is not really hard for re-reading

But Hoshino has forgotten plot before, right? Like in Kory's Castle arc, when Allen got his left eye back. Apparently Allen's new eye lets everyone see the souls, but ever since that arc its never been mentioned again... like it wasn't even explained why Allen doesn't show anyone the souls anymore? It would have been very useful during the Alma arc.

Allen saw how terrified Lavi was so probably he shut the function down (please don't ask me how). During Alma arc, his eye was sealed and when the seal was lift, Alma imediately screamed not to tell anything.
Also Allen's eye is shown not to be really stable. It evolves just like akuma

Actually I've been thinking lately that it's only Lavi who could see that. We know that he has special eye powers of his own (best example would be finding the key on the Ark, where he decided not to use two but just one eye), but those secrets haven't been revealed yet. Seeing what Allen sees was probably only going to work the one time though.

Iirc, Lavi and Krory saw her soul due to the upgrade on Allen's eye. People who are within a certain radius of Allen's akuma detecting eye can see the souls.

Though, I think i'm going to stick with the argument that soul projection is just a function of Allen's eye that he can control. Plus the other 4 situations I recall for when he : (1) met the first level 3 at asia branch, (2) Alma Karma, (3)the 3rd exorcist mass akuma devouring and (4)the level 4, conveniently no one else seemed to be in a position to notice other than Allen. In the Alma Karma situation, Kanda was holding Alma in his arms when Allen's eye activated and projected the soul was above Kanda, which even spoke to Allen. Whilst others can see the souls projected by Allen's eye, it was never truly verified if they could hear them as well. Also, if you continue reading when Alma's trapped soul tells Allen not to look, he immediately puts his hand over the eye in a jesture almost indicating that he wanted to conceal it from Kanda.

The situation with the thirds was also a really interesting one [URL="http://www.mangareader.net/210-27347-26/dgray-man/chapter-187.html"] because unlike the other situations his cursed eye wasn't using the monocle mode. This situation makes me want to theorize that the monocle not only allows long distance tracking and akuma detection but it is also the mode where he can project the soul for all to see, though he can choose not to. The base mode only seems to allow private viewing. However just like all the other situations the thirds cnveniently had their backs turned (LOL) so there is no way for us to confirm this. Though it is important to note that Tokusa detected that Allen's sudden stunned expression had something to do with seeing the souls in pain[URL=http://www.mangareader.net/210-27347-28/dgray-man/chapter-187.html"].

I think that was a one-time deal though, because no one else after that remarked on seeing them. Also, it wouldn't really make sense to make others be able to see the spirits too within the eye's radius because if that was true, everyone would've known about Alma as soon as his eye activated and I'd imagine he'd have a more compassionate following that understood why he wanted to save the Akuma souls as well. Iirc what did change in the series was that in the beginning his eye could only tell an Akuma apart from a human if he was looking directly at it. Now he can sense Akuma within a radius, regardless of obstacles in his line of vision.

The first time I read DGM was in Lunar New Year break. One of my life's biggest mistake.
(for those who doesn't understand, in Lunar New Year, Asian people try to be as happy as they can as it will affect the year's luck and I just didn't aware how depressing DGM can be)

Hey guys, i'm curious to know if anyone translated the critique Hoshino made at a manga competition some years ago. I heard she was a panellist there and she was critiquing works from young aspiring mangaka. I would really love to read that but I don't remember anyone translating it. Even the japanese text would be fine (need something for my DGM fix).

It's quite hard to find it now but from what I remember, Hoshino was really strict at the story and plot.
