he passed away...so it will someone new. i just hope they dont change kanda i really liked his VA

Are all the VA gonna be replaced? Or is it just flukes with select few who couldn't / wouldn't return?

I would like to have Hiroki Touchi back, if the character returns. Far as Allen's voice goes, I wasn't crazy about it anyhow. So I don't mind a change there. Unless, it sounds even more feminine than before. And yeah, I am aware Allen was voiced by a woman, which reflected in how he sounded.

Hoshino said in her Instagram post that this is a continuation (so no reboot but I don't think they're going to skip anything that wasn't covered already - Timothy's arc is important to both Kanda and Allen's development) but it will be a "completely new" series now. Well it definitely looks different. Hope it lives up to the manga!

just imagining chapters 182 and 184 (Alllen's anachronistic dream with Mana in it and skyscrapers and such)-- being animated-- is giving me goosebumps...

Actually I think manga sales are the biggest factor here. Even the volume released smack in the middle of that long hiatus had strong sales.

The animation and music from the promo is beautiful! Thumbs up from me.

I looked at murase ayumu and his Haruka role from Joukamachi no dandelion was good, so he might make a good Allen. (It's gonna be so hard for me to accept that it's not Sanae Q.Q)

Im very very concerned about the story. Seeing the early focus on Alma in the promo is a red flag to me and makes me wonder if they are going to shove 3 arcs into one season... That'll be a big mess if they do and ill be flipping alot of tables because dgms story is too beautiful to ruin. I trust in Hoshino, though. I dont think she'd let something like that slide.

Ahhh..!! Cant sleep with all this hype and anxiety (its 4am for me lol)

The music is god-like. The animation isn't really good but its directing is interesting (the way Allen activates Crown Clown) ;v;
I really like Alma and the Earl's design, Kanda and Allen...however.. ;v;

btw, did anyone notice Kanda's design in the pv is the same to searching for A.W arc? He only leaves the uniform collar like that after selling the uniform ornaments ; ;

Haha, I spied a lil mistake in the promo: When Allen is pulling the Sword of Exorcism the skin under his left sleeve is human. Smooth.

I worry for that as well. They did the same with Inuyasha. The anime stopped, then came back for a final act, and stuff seemed rushed and crammed together. So I hope they're not gonna butcher the DGM story, and leave out tons of stuff.

Now if they're just gonna show some things in a different order, I could handle that. Because not like the original anime didn't have changes of that nature. But they did also leave some stuff out, or change scenes.

I'd rather there be no anime at all if they do what I'm dreading they'll do. I didn't wait 8 years for the anime to ruin DGMs beautiful story.

I'm trying to remain optimistic though, as it's still too early and it's not even here yet, and I'm getting all worked up about it. I feel like crying to Hoshino to make them not skip anything and probably pace it lol. I'm sure she's aware of what's going on though, and I have faith that'll she'll make sure it comes out alright.

I dunno how they would adapt arcs in different order (i.e Timothy arc after Alma arc, because Allen leaves the Order right after the Alma arc... Allen kinda needs to be there in the Timothy arc to get his CC scar.)

They did the same for Kuroko no Basket announcement of 3rd season on the previous Jump Festa.
The only difference is that a few voice actors were present and dubbed the manga panels in the video live.
