I knew something was up. Turns out the DVD / BD for Hallow has been cancelled.

I occasionally checked the site to see if a release date has finally been announced. As I had a sliver of hope the DVDs may have improved some things. For the longest it was "TBA." Then I noticed recently, it was changed to "Undecided."

I just checked the site again not 10 min. ago and saw the section for BD / DVD had been removed.

No info given, other than it was cancelled due to various circumstances. So Hallow apparently didn't go over too well. Hoshino may, or may not, have been involved since she didn't seem to be the biggest fan of either adaptation.

Also, if anyone is interested, Gray Log got delayed (again). This is kinda expected though.

Apparently, everything that got delayed are related to Aniplex

No shock. But once again, the worst part is last min. announcements of the delay. I think this is the 3rd time. Wasn't it due for release last Aug. Then it was pushed back to Sept. with the artbook, then it was taken off complete and postponed. Now, it's announced for another release, and pulled again.

Now, I am really expecting the manga chapter to be delayed too, but not announced until Apr. 23rd. Usually when multiple things are coming up with DGM, and start getting pulled, the chapter will be the last thing included and announced -a few days before supposed release.

They just need to not announce anything for DGM, and let a release be a pleasant surprise. Lol

And again, they announce it at the very last min. Because I think March 3rd was the release date. So they tell you March 1st -or Feb. 28th, that it isn't being released. Having you wait for months, then announcing delay at the LAST sec. is what's really getting to me.

But seems the best thing to do is is drop DGM and check back every year or so, then you may have something. lol

Love DGM, but it's not good to have it as the only, or primary, thing you're following. I usually do 1-manga at a time. But I may need to find something else with more frequent updates to enjoy. Because DGM is currently on severe life support, shortly after coming out of it's coma.

I sometimes wonder what they are thinking, not only Hoshino but everyone involved with dgm.
Aren't they getting tired of this themselves?

And why do they not give an explenation to why they delay some stuff...

I am curious as to what's being said. But quality isn't the best. So, probably won't see many trans until the book is finally released with clearer visuals. lol And the first pic is probably just quick summaries, rather than anything new. But I was still a bit curious.

But yeah. They give the cover, and exact date, tons of samples. Now it's delayed. AGAIN. I mean I am sure the book is finished, so I doubt it's being delayed to add stuff. I was dying to have it released so we could get some translations, and hopefully some new info that may clear up more confusing parts of past chapters.

Now this isn't the end of the world. But like I mentioned, DGM doesn't go half-way with some things pulled. It ALL gets pulled one by one. We don't just get 1 thing taken away, but still get something else. We have it all taken away and postponed.

We can all benefit from a little venting. Because that's all it is. Stuff like this comes with frustration. I think it's the same with fans of HxH and Berserk, which I think take frequent hiatuses. Or least one of them does, if not both.

So sadly it's hard as a fan to love a series where you constantly have hiatuses and last min. delays, and it looks like the manga will never be finished, if it's not cancelled.

And it's even more frustrating when the story is just really getting started with some revelations happening, and you just wanna know the secrets already lol Like me, I am frustrated to the point of pulling my hair out in wanting to know what's going on with the 3rd side, seeing more of Nea's story and WTH he's fully after, more clearing up with the Nea + Mana deal and WTH is going on with Cross, and where he fits into all of this -especially given his age and the timeline. Like according to the manga and Reverse, he's been stated to be a priest, and he apparently owns that church Mother stays in. But if he really is a priest, where'd he have time to become one? lol Is he old enough to have already been one before he got involved with The Order and Nea? But if so, how does that work? We also know very little about Lavi.

I am dying to see more pieces put together. We pretty much know Allen's friends.

Lenalee's backstory has been given. We know all about her, and what drives her.
Kanda's backstory has been given, and we know what's driving him now -he's had development
Miranda and Krory are taken care of. No secrets there that we know of.

Not to say these guys are useless. But all that's left is how they handle the upcoming parts of the journey. Doesn't seem there's any more mystery or secrets with them. Though surprises can happen.

It doesn't seem like too many of the other guys back at the Order -Science department have any huge secrets. Just normal recurring characters. Which is why I am in no rush to see any of them any time soon. I'd rather be getting even more info on the still question-mark characters.

Allen, Lavi, Cross, Nea, Mana / Adam, Apocryphos, Road, Tyki, Wsely, and possibly even Lvellie are characters who seem to have more going on, and possibly deeper roles or twists in the story that Hoshino is set on making us sweat for. And the hiatuses and delays don't get us closer to finding anything out. Which is why I am not opposed to her just releasing one last fanbook that reveals everything -secrets, character fates, inside info etc. Not the same as seeing it play out in the manga, but at this rate, it's almost a step up, imo. Because Hoshino's own words said DGM wasn't close to being finished, and at this rate, she's gonna die of old age before it is.

And this why I drop DGM not because its bad ( the story and characters is really amazing ) but because of shit like this I just stop all together in 2010 , didn't even watch the new anime because I knew it was going to be cliff hanger.

Well for me I stopped waiting long time ago and I'm actually enjoying discovering other good manga to read and anime to follow between the release date of new chapters. (and I'm happy to do so since DGM went in hiatus because I used to only be interested in DGM and didn't khow what I was missing out there lol ).
I also think that the anime might have a connection to all this delay( not only sensei's health ). I'm not a big fan of the anime but before its release, everything was going well and we had sensei's instagram to provide us with info. Now, it's becoming weird to khow such a good manga is struggling to continue and we can't even figure a logical reason to all the cancelling and delay.
