Seems some thing are already changed around, since Lavi is there instead of Johnny. I hope the anime is more faithful to the manga than the last one, especially given some things the anime added in, or took out, that made no sense.

I hear Hoshino is supervising. If so, maybe the changes won't be too bad, and stuff she may have decided she wanted done differently.

It's possible that Johnny is still on the boat with them, we just haven't seen him yet. I wouldn't rule him out yet, same with Komui.

It is strange that Allen's eyes are that blue. I hope it's just temporary trick of the moonlight or something that makes them look that way, I would miss his silver eyes They seen to be important because of the 14th's song, too.

Allen has blue eyes in all promotion art up until now. Since Hoshino is involved, I think she has something to do with it

I dont know if the trailer reflects the changes they said they will do or if the arcs in the trailer are the only arcs in the anime
i want to see Cross marian & Allen meeting scene animated.. also the zombie arc
and whats after kanda's arc

Oh I wanna see Cross as well. No worries though. His scene with Allen should be animated. The 1st trailer showed the panel with him hugging Allen very clearly.

Idk what the words are to the side. May just be the series' name.

So, since this was shown in the trailer,, I would think the definitely planned to show the event. But it may not be until toward the end of the year, depending on how they're gonna do the arcs, and what changes they may have made - such as order of events, and possible filler.

I was curious to see who'd be voicing Cross, but we probably won't see any other characters and VA that haven't already been seen and/or announced until they appear in the anime, since they're not star players. Cross will probably only be in 3 episodes. He may be in 5 or 6, depending on how far the anime tends to go - unless they throw in some filler scenes and episodes with him, which I won't mind provided they don't derail his character with them, like the previous anime.

The new anime style certainly makes the old one look wooden and dull. DGM Hallow definitely seems to have its game stepped up from the last anime, where it now has more vivid detail.

Had had some different ones for Lenalee, and couldn't decide which showed better, so here's different shot combos for her.

I know your trying to show the newer art is better and I understand that and I want to agree but now that look at it Allan in that 2006 Pic looks way batter then current Allan ( Currant Allan looks really strange )

So do I. I am only hoping they didn't show panels that they had no intention of animating. But it's possible. it's like how trailers for films, or shows, will show bloopers or deleted scenes in the trailer, but when you watch, the scene or line is nowhere in it.

But I am hoping this won't be the case. lol

...the only character design i like so far is Lenalee's.
From all the above comparisons, it seems to me that the animators confused adapting the anime to reflect Hoshino's new, more realistic art style with simply adding 10 years to each character. In particular, Kanda, Lavi and Link now all have noticeably longer limbs, torsos and faces. All 3 are like 20, but they all come off looking 26 or so. Allen, on the flip side, looks even younger than before and somehow more... doll like? It's weird.

Above all, the new character designs strike me as... very typical of shounen anime. I feel like I can plop any of the above characters into some other shounen anime and they would look right at home.

Idk. I'm just not impressed.

I'll hold off on VA commentary though, and leave that sliver of hope alive for now.

They had their name changed, but they also didn't have much work.
They only have an album released name rebellious, under the name Cromarty

Oh, I'm really happy to see some of those. In particular, Krory!

Krory has a voice actor! This means Krory has a role and maybe we're getting the zombie arc! Hurrah!!!!!

And I have no reason to believe that Noriaki Sugiyama would have any trouble with the role.

Ami Koshimizu is brilliant, and I'm sure she'll be great as Miranda. She's got good character range. And she's one of my very favourite voice actresses.

Houchu Ohtsuka has been in a lot of things, but most of them I don't remember well apart from Shiki in Durarara and Abuto in Gintama. Can't wait to see his take on Bookman.

Go Inoue has not had a lot of major roles yet (but lots of bit parts) and the only ones I remember well are Kaisar from Rage of Bahamut: Genesis and Keith from Tiger & Bunny. I was a bit worried about who would be chosen for Komui, because he demands really good range, but I think that Go Inoue's voice could suit him well. So I'm relieved.

Tomokazu Sugita as Reever could be really good, but it might take some getting used to since Sugita has such a distinctive (yet excellent) voice. I'm going to be looking forward to this one.

Toru Ohkawa as Lvellie is going to be great. I think Lvellie is a character for whom a versatile voice actor is necessary, so I'm really pleased. He can certainly handle playing a wide range of ages, so a 50-year-old man like Lvellie will be no problem. Just recently he was excellent as Funasaka in Active Raid, but I also like his work as characters like Roy Mustang from FMA and Don Valentino from Cuticle Detective Inaba. (Unfortunately, I may never be able to hear this actor again without thinking of singing Italian criminal mastermind goats.)

Can't really comment on Mitsuhiro Ichiki as Johnny or Takuya Eguchi as Madarao, due to lack of familiarity.

Souma Saito as Togusa, yes, he's going to be great. I know him as Haruta from HaruChika, Kain from Kyoukai no Rinne, and Adlet Meyer from Rokka no Yuusha. (Also, because he plays Shadow Joker in Kaitou Joker and Allen's new voice actor is the one who plays Joker, I'm going to imagine those characters in some of the scenes.)

Rie Suegawa is another fairly new voice actress, so I can't venture a guess about how good a choice she is for Tewaku, but she plays the lead in Diabolik Lovers, and I don't think they would give her the main role for that if she was no good.
