Anime DGM Theater Hang Out Thread

I posted this over on the exorcists_order LJ community, but I think it explains some things so I'll post it here.

This makes sense....Bleach is getting booted out of it's timeslot by the new Stich anime thing. So if DGM were to end Bleach would have somewhere to run to. Plus a friend of mine mentioned that he had heard Bleach was getting a new OP, and not to mention the anime itself is hinting at a return to the original material (they're doing fillers now if you didn't know.) So DGM ending, while sad makes a lot of sense at this point. Hoshino's breaks don't help the fact that they are really running low on material, and they probably know that one more year of filler could give the anime a bad reputation. THIS is probably why a lot of the fans are happy it's going. DGM has good DVD sales though so perhaps it will be back when there is enough material for it...

Funny thing is, DGM fillers aren't that bad. But I think the animators are stumped. The only possiblity of fillers is if the extended the zombie arc to Bak finding the cure, and extending that over a year is stupid. But to empty the DGM place for Bleach? Cheap bastards. They're going to have Bleach on, no matter what, because it's such a big cashcow. Jerks. I can understand not doing it for fillers, but in regards to the second reasoning I want the Bleach execs to be slapped.

I hope it comes back and that the Bleach execs are slapped.

...and Bleach has plenty of manga material to cover while DGM does not. Makes sense to me.

And maybe the fillers weren't so bad to some, but they make me want to be sick. They're not in the spirit of DGM at all, and the characters weren't written properly (I felt - no, I knew. There were some scenes when I can say "That would never have happened in the manga").

I have to agree with earthforge, the D.Gray-man fillers were MUCH better than the Bleach ones. I don't care so much about faithfullness to the manga (even if it does irk me at times) because it's an adaption, not just a retelling of the same story. Bleach owes one to D.Gray-man, seriously. Or rather, Kubo owes Hoshino one ^_^

I think it is mostly the episode title, but there might be something else. ^^

As for the filler debate, I found some to be satisfying especially the ones that explain the background stories of the minor characters (e.g. Yeegar and Dashiva) because it made their deaths more meaningful. The others were...okay, IMO, but they were better than Naruto's.

About the spoiler, does it mean that the anime will end after the level 4 arc? or is it on hiatus where Hoshino can continue on the manga until there is a fair distance between the manga and the anime?

I think it means that the anime will end after this season. So there's always the possibility that it will get continued... Right?

@rhaps: It just says that it's the last episode of DGM... As well as the title... That's all(: I think.

Yep it says the episode title and then 'end' right beside it. So it looks like the anime will end with the Level 4's arc. It's really quite a shame, but I guess the best choice considering the situation. They may continue the anime much like HXH continued with OVAs, or if Hoshino can keep breaks to a minimum, bring the anime back in a year or two. (Though to be honest that's rather unlikely, since DGM did have a pretty healthy run.) Either way this is a sad day for DGM fans....(myself included.) Now excuse me while I go pray that the Gintama anime doesn't follow suit. If it does you may not see me around for a while, (it's hard to be on the internet when you're in mourning.)

I think it was a mistake; there is no mention at all about episode 104 on 2ch. According to TV Tokyo website (too lazy to look for it), Bleach will be replacing DGM's timeslot.

Yeah, I dug around the site I posted a little more and found Bleach's schedule. It's also listed at 6:00 pm on Tuesday.

I've never heard anything; if you have let me know! I know a lot of people who would be happy to hear about it. There was recently a half hour episode made for the It's a Rumic World exposition in Tokyo.
