Title: Disaster
Okay, I'm going to split my summary up into a few parts starting with the background then the setting, the main story, a description of some of the main characters, and ending with how the powers work.
Background: 1000 years before the events of the main story, the world of Exalta was plagued by many, unexplained natural disasters. Tsunamis, lightning storms, volcanoes, earthquakes, tornadoes, blizzards, and epidemics laid waste to Exalta on a daily basis. Seven of the world's brightest and wisest sages banded together to seal the horrific power of these disasters away for good. In a way it worked, but it can only be considered a temporary sentence.
Setting: My manga takes place in a world of my creation called Exalta. This world is made out of eight continents. Everyone, save the exception of one, was ravaged and altered by a certain natural disaster.
- Haven - The only island unaffected by any of the disasters. This is the smallest continent out of them all and is also the headquarters of the Empire of the Eight. The capital city is named Archive, and is home to all of the world's history in the greatest library in the world.
- Artarica - The coldest of the eight, this land was once overcome with massive blizzards.
- Honoriku - A group of islands that was once infested by many active volcanoes. What's left of the volcanoes still remain but they aren't nearly as active as they once were. The area that this group of islands is located is called the “Ring of Fire”.
- Venenum – Home of the greatest physicians in the world. This continent was once overcome by numerous epidemics and diseases.
- Terrarah – Very rocky terrain with many canyons and dips in the surface. The mountains are as tall as the canyons are deep. This continent was once ripped open by many earthquakes.
- Izamor – Home continent of the main character and the village of Auger. Mid-large continent covered by vast plains and can be described as “most beautiful of the eight”. There are many craters marking the land as it was once overrun by massive thunder storms.
- Orkaan – This is a very windy, desert like environment. Sandstorms often occur and can cause to be a hassle for the residents or travelers. This was the land that was once befallen by massive hurricanes and huge tornados.
- Pluvia – The terrain of this continent is very wet and muddy. It is almost constantly raining but has very few torrential downpours. Some areas are below sea level and are the homes to some artifacts of the ancient age before the disaster years. This continent was hit by tsunamis 1000 years prior and altered the terrain to what it looks like today.
Main plot: Now my manga is a story that revolves around the main character Gale Nimbus. He's a thick headed boy of the age of 18 who cares about everybody that helped him grow up while living parent-less in the quiet village of Auger. He's been unusually strong since his youth and has been protecting his village ever since he was young along with his best friend Seth Shinka (another one of the main characters). One day, an explosion is heard near the outskirts of town. When Gale and Seth investigated they saw that a large bandit group was attacking Auger. Their leader was shooting lightning out of his right hand, which was causing the explosions. Gale noticed a glowing stone on the bandit's ring every time he shot lightning. After a struggle with the bandits, Gale stole the ring and was able to unleash the lightning to defeat the bandits and drive them away. After talking to the village elder about what the stones actually are. While talking, a villager runs in and tells them that an officer from the Empire of the Eight (working name) is here and Demands to have his ring back. Long story short, Seth gets badly injured and Gale fights them off with his new found power. Gale, who feels a strange tie to the stone, sets out alone to expose the empire for what it is and destroy it.
^^ Tell me if you want me to change this around because I felt that this described my main plot perfectly. This is my basic outline for my first two chapters.
Main Characters -
- Gale Nimbus - Gale is a hot headed strong man who has always been able to fight, even when he was a young boy. He has short brown hair and piercing green eyes that he could stop a man in his track with just a glare. He has a semi-muscular thin build because he had to survive on his own since he was a young boy. Chopping wood for fire, fishing, and killing animals for food. He can be the most serious man while also being the kindest man. He treats everything simply, therefore finds anything doable. His most notable trait however is a type of fang or snaggle tooth on the left side of his mouth, it always sticks out whenever his mouth is closed.
- Seth Shinka - He is Gale's best childhood friend and consider each other brothers of sorts. He is also Gale's rival in terms of fighting since they both have an innate ability for combat. Seth has an extremely strong sense of justice and always tries to do what's right. He's a lot more level headed than Gale but can easily get frustrated with Gale's antics and with his simple nature. He has Silver hair which, if he lets it hang, can go down close to his shoulders, but he usually wears it in a pony tail. He has blue eyes that seem to be very gentle, if not hiding a sad past. He also has a birthmark under his left eye that he claims that every male in his family had.
- "Frost Flash" Tou Ahshtor - Tou is the first person Gale will meet on his journey, though they don't start on good terms. Tou is a ninja/thief who makes a living stealing from trade and convoy ships passing his homeland Artarica. He stand about six feet tall and has dark black hair covering the left side of his face. He appears serious almost all of the time with few comedic breakdowns. He excels in hand to hand combat, with the addition of ice made shuriken and kunai thrown into the mix. Though his main weapon is thin blades of ice on the bottom of his hands that can be barely be seen by the naked eye, which often confuses normal people as to how he cuts things.
- Lilia - She is a brash, young woman of the age 19 who always uses her tough exterior to get herself out of most situations. Lilia isn't used to traveling with other people because she has always lived with the "do it yourself" attitude. She has small, piercing eyes that are actually very feminine if looked at deeply, which could give way to a sensitive side. Her hair is dark blue and fairly long and she usually wears it in a long downwards pony tail. She is a very capable fighter using a weapon known as a "stream saber". She is on a mission of sorts to find out about the missing years in her memory. She remembers her parents, her childhood, but at a certain point when she was about age 9, she doesn't remember a thing until 10 years later.
Powers: The main powers come from Elemental Stones, which are the powers of the natural disasters sealed into the form of multi-colored stones with a symbol of that said element engraved on the stone. the Stones coincide with their natural disaster as so:
-Fire = Volcano
-Lightning = Storm
-Tornado = Wind
-Poison = Epidemic
-Ice = Blizzard
-Earth = Earthquake
-Water = Tsunami
Now these stones will not be limited to just be put on a ring or held in a hand, some will be implanted in the body on be made into a weapon. Ex: A lightning stone put into a whip makes a lightning whip or a fire stone implanted into the bottom of the users feet granting them flight or fiery kicks. Now just having a stone doesn't mean you can use it throughout your whole body, you can only use that power from the limb, part of your body, or weapon it is on (only very few people are able to use it throughout their whole body ). But the powers will not just be limited to those seven. The ability to artificially mix stones will be invented sometime down the line of the story. I have a few mixes already thought up but if anyone has any ideas please tell me!!!

- Fire + Water = Steam
- Earth + Water = Nature
- Earth + Wind = Sand
- Water + Poison = Acid
- Sand + Fire = Glass
- Sand + Water = Mud
- Magma + Water = Stone

P.S.: This is a manga so the mixes don't have to make total logical sense, just basic logic. I also want to make metal but I just can't think of anything. There can be mixes of three or more stones so have at it guys and throw me ideas!!!!!
Genre: It will be shounen, action, adventure, drama, comedy, and everything that makes an amazing manga.

Seth – GALE!!!! GALE THAT YOU?!?!?
The fish that Gale just yanked out of the water releases itself from the hook and bites him in the face.
Page 5 – Gale -OWWWWW OWOWOW!!!!!!!
Seth – Hahaha!! Fish got you again? Ya poor *******.
Gale – I Would've had it if you didn't startle me like that! You think fishing is easy!?!
Seth – Na I don't, but you insist on living in the outskirts of the town so ya deserve it!
Gale – You're a dead man!!
The two get into a fight and quickly ware eachother out.
Page 6 – Both exhausted from their fight, they lay on the grass and look up into the sunny sky.
Seth – You've gotten better I see.
Gale – Psh I've always been the better one you know that. (Gale Give a big smile)
Seth – (Seth does the same) Yea I know but I've got you a few times, I'd say were more even that not.
Gale – Hahahaha yea I guess you're right.
Seth – (He sits up) Hey why do you still live out here anyway? You never actually told me.
Page 7 – Gale - (puts a muddled expression on his face) Because It's the only memory I have of my parents. (cuts to a picture of his house) If I left that old shack, I'd feel that Id be leaving everything behind ya know? Plus my mom's grave is there and I know she would kill me if I left her alone.
Seth – (He sits up as well) Yea I hear ya. (puts on a sad face) I don't even remember my parent's faces, just their.......
Gale – Just their what?
Page 8 – Seth – Ahhhhh Nothin', (he puts a big smile on his face) It's too nice of a day to ruin by being sentimental. (he gets up) come on get ya *** up and lets go to town.
Gale – Hey Seth (Seth turns around) You know were family right?
Seth – (Seth turns back around and smiles) Heh you idiot.
Gale – (jumps up) HEY!! Whats that supposed to mean! (he runs after him) I'm gonna kick your ***.
Page 9 – Shows Gale and Seth Walking into the town Auger. People are seen walking around and just living life happily as they should.
Gale - So Seth why did you want to bring me down here anyway?
Page 10 - Seth – Old man Gamma told me to go get ya.
Gale – Gamma? What does he need me for.
Seth – Dunno. He wanted to see both of us, I guess to see how we're doing, you know how old people get haha.
Gale - I just hope he doesn't tell us that story of how he came to Auger again, I've heard it way too many times.
Seth – Hahaha I know! He doesn't realize how many times he tells it, I wonder If I'll be like that at his age.
Page 11 – Gale – I'm sure you won't turn out like that old fart. Hahaha
Gale suddenly gets whacked in the back of the head by a cane.
Gamma – Who're you calling an old fart young one?
Gale – Ow you didn't have to hit me, a lecture about “how to respect your elders” would've just been fine.
Page 12 – Gamma - Ohhhhh you want a lecture too? Well let's find a place to sit then.
Gale/Seth – (both surprised) No no we learned our lesson we won't bad mouth you anymore.
Gamma – (smiles) Ohhhhhhhkay then both of you follow me to my house, I have some business to discuss with the both of you.
Shows a picture of the outside of Gamma's house
Page 13 – They all sit down at the table in the center of the room and Gamma throws down a newspaper.
Gamma – Since you two are the main protectors of the village I thought you might want to see this.
They look at the paper and read the headlining article.
Gale - “Empire officials root out evil yet again.”
Seth – (slams fists on the table) Those bastards destroyed another town?!? When will they stop?
Page 14 – Gale – Well it says here there were people associated in the rebellion making the town a base of operation. If it threatens the overall peace then it's justified isn't it?
Seth – Well read what it says here, “no survivors”, that means they killed everyone, I don't see how that's just.
Gamma – Justice is a tricky thing to discuss you two, it is rare to find two people with the same exact view of justice, the very idea itself can drive one mad.
Gale – I guess you're right Seth, I'm sure the empire had it's reasons for their actions, I believe in them, I think everyone should.
Page 15 – Gamma – Gale, you have a good heart, but don't let it lead you along the wrong path.
Gale – What do you mean by that old man?
Seth – (cutting Gamma off when he's about to speak) Gale I don't get how you see their actions as just?
Gale – Well we barely get any bandits here anymore right? I'd say that thanks to the empire Auger has been made safer, that's all that matters to me.
Seth – That's all? That's all!! How can you say that when innocent people are dying by that hands of this so called protector!
Gamma – (gets up) Now now you too.
Page 16 – Seth – Not now Gamma! I have to set this idiot straight!
Gale – You can't tell me what's right and what's wrong! I make these judgments for myself!
Gamma – (letting out a loud roar-like voice that no one has ever heard before) SILENCE BOTH OF YOU!
Page 17 – Both Seth and Gale sit back down
Gamma – (back to his normal voice) See what I mean, justice can tear bonds and even people apart so don't get bought in and remember that you have eachother and everyone else in the town to protect and lean on.
Gale/Seth – (both ashamed of themselves) Sorry Gamma.
Gamma – (smiles) Now for the reason I showed you this, if you noticed, according to the map, this recently destroyed town is about 100 miles south of Auger. This leads me to believe that the Empire is trying to purge out the scattered rebels across the continents.
Page 18 – Gamma – They are most likely heading in this direction and I imagine that they would inspect this town.
Gale – So why would we have to know this old man?
Gamma – Because with the empire coming this way, there is a high risk that bandits and maybe even rebels will come through Augar. I just want you two to be on guard for any of those people since you two are our best fighters.
Gale/Seth – Right!
Page 19 – Gamma – Now have I ever told you the story where I....
Gale/Seth – YES!!! Whatever story it is yes you have!
Gamma – Ho Ho well it all began.....
Gale – Ok we're out Gamma.
Seth – Same here see ya old man.
As they get up to leave they see a bright light outside the window and hear the boom of an explosion.
Page 20 – Gale – What was that?!?
Seth – Looks like it came from the southern edge of town.
Gamma – Southern? Boys it might be as I said you two hurry! My body can't move too fast I'll catch up!
Gale/Seth – Right!
Cuts to a burning house with a few ragtag looking men carrying swords laughing.
Page 21 – random bandit – Hahahaha! Now round up all your valuables or our boss will destroy another building or actually kill someone this time!
Man – No please don't! This town is all we have please don't.
A man trots up on a horse and smiles an evil grin.
Bandit Boss – Well in that case how about you give us everything a value in this poor little town and we can be on our way.
Man – No you can't! Everything we have here is everything you know you can't take any of it!
Page 22 – Bandit boss – Heh if you insist then.
Bandit boss shocks the man with electricity. He falls down passed out.
Bandit Boss – Now you all are lucky I'm in a generous mood today because I didn't kill him, but you you all don't give me everything in this village all of you will die!
Suddenly Seth is seen barreling through bandits felling them one at a time. He jumps to attack the leader but is shocked back.
Page 23 – Seth is knocked on the ground but is still conscience.
Bandit boss – Heh surprisingly resilient aren't ya boy? Well die now!
As the bandit boss goes to electrify Seth once more, Gale jumps from the top of a building going straight for the Bandit boss. He too is electrified and punched by the boss to where Seth is.
Gale – What kind of power is that? I've never seen it before.
Page 24 – Bandit boss – Hahaha! Well of-course you've never seen it before! Little country hicks like yourselves know nothing of the outside beyond you're supposedly safe little town!
Seth – Well what is it! Tell us!
Bandit boss – Fine. If that is your final wish before you die then as a gentleman I have no choice but to tell ya.
The bandit lifts up his right hand and presents them with a ring on his middle finger.
Page 25 – Gale – A ring? What can a ring do?!
Bandit boss – Heh so naive young boys are. Embedded in this ring is an Elemental Stone.
Seth – Elemental.....
Gale – Stone.
Bandit boss – This one in particular grants the wearer the power of lightning like so.
The bandit points his right hand at the building and levels it with a booming bolt of lightning.
Page 26 – Bandit boss – You see! With this power nothing will stand in my way! Absolutely nothing! Not the Empire nor their armies and definitely not any punk *** kids like you. Now bring all of your valuables here right now or I will level this town and kill everyone of you!
The towns people bring whatever treasures and wealth they have and throw it in front of the Bandit boss for his inspection.
Page 27 – Bandit boss – This is it? I know that this random town would be poor as ****! I'll tell you what, I'll let you townspeople go, but for trying to attack me I'll personally see to it that these two boys are killed. Are you ready you two?
Gale – (looks up and smiles) Heh ready for what? I'm ready to kick your *** outta this town!
Bandit Boss – Kick my *** out? Hahahahaha!!! What can a useless kid like you do?!?
Page 28 – Seth – He's not useless! You're the coward for praying on small towns just to get a little richer!
Bandit boss – Coward? Me? Can a coward do this boys?!
He levels three more buildings with his lightning.
Bandit boss – Hahahahaha!!! I'm invincible!!
Woman – I thought you said you wouldn't harm the town any longer?!
Bandit boss – Well plans have changed! Get ready men, kill to your hearts content!
Bandits – YEAH!!
Page 29 – Seth – (whispers) Ready Gale?
Gale – Yeah.
Seth throws a rock at the bandit boss's head as hard as he could and it hits him with a loud thud.
Bandit boss – AHHHH!! Why you little bas.......
Gale jumps and starts punching the bandit boss's face until he's about to fall off his horse. When he falls off Gale steals the ring from his finger and jumps back in front of Seth.
Page 30-31 – Bandit boss – (from the floor) Kill them all!!
The bandits all shoot their arrows at Gale and Seth and Gale puts up his arms in an attempt to defend.
Page 32-33 – As the Arrows are coming, there is a bright shine and from Gale's whole body electricity shoots out and blows back all of the arrows.
Page 34 – Gamma arrives just in time to see what gale does. The bandit boss and all his men are in complete shock
Gale – Huh? I'm still alive?
Seth – (in shock) Gale, you saved us all!
Gale – I did? What did I do?
Gale looks in his hand to see the ring shining, however as the seconds go by the shine fades.
Page 35 – Gamma – (in shock) That boy.....

Page 40 – A tall silhouetted man approaches and the bandits all get up to fight but they are all cut down in an instant.

Raid - (grabs the bandit boss and lifts him off the ground and asks in a dominating voice) Where is my ring!?!

Gamma – (smiles) Now for the reason I showed you this, if you noticed, according to the map, this recently destroyed town is about 100 miles south of Auger. This leads me to believe that the Empire is trying to purge out the scattered rebels across the continents.
Page 18 – Gamma – They are most likely heading in this direction and I imagine that they would inspect this town.
Gale – So why would we have to know this old man?
Gamma – Because with the empire coming this way, there is a high risk that bandits and maybe even rebels will come through Augar. I just want you two to be on guard for any of those people since you two are our best fighters.

As they get up to leave they see a bright light outside the window and hear the boom of an explosion.

Cuts to a burning house with a few ragtag looking men carrying swords laughing.
Page 21 – random bandit – Hahahaha! Now round up all your valuables or our boss will destroy another building or actually kill someone this time!
Man – No please don't! This town is all we have please don't.
A man trots up on a horse and smiles an evil grin.
Bandit Boss – Well in that case how about you give us everything a value in this poor little town and we can be on our way.
Man – No you can't! Everything we have here is everything you know you can't take any of it!
Page 22 – Bandit boss – Heh if you insist then.
Bandit boss shocks the man with electricity. He falls down passed out.
Bandit Boss – Now you all are lucky I'm in a generous mood today because I didn't kill him, but you you all don't give me everything in this village all of you will die!
Suddenly Seth is seen barreling through bandits felling them one at a time. He jumps to attack the leader but is shocked back.
Page 23 – Seth is knocked on the ground but is still conscience.
Bandit boss – Heh surprisingly resilient aren't ya boy? Well die now!
As the bandit boss goes to electrify Seth once more, Gale jumps from the top of a building going straight for the Bandit boss. He too is electrified and punched by the boss to where Seth is.
Gale – What kind of power is that? I've never seen it before.
Page 24 – Bandit boss – Hahaha! Well of-course you've never seen it before! Little country hicks like yourselves know nothing of the outside beyond you're supposedly safe little town!
Seth – Well what is it! Tell us!
Bandit boss – Fine. If that is your final wish before you die then as a gentleman I have no choice but to tell ya.
The bandit lifts up his right hand and presents them with a ring on his middle finger.
Page 25 – Gale – A ring? What can a ring do?!
Bandit boss – Heh so naive young boys are. Embedded in this ring is an Elemental Stone.
Seth – Elemental.....
Gale – Stone.
Bandit boss – This one in particular grants the wearer the power of lightning like so.
The bandit points his right hand at the building and levels it with a booming bolt of lightning.
Page 26 – Bandit boss – You see! With this power nothing will stand in my way! Absolutely nothing! Not the Empire nor their armies and definitely not any punk *** kids like you. Now bring all of your valuables here right now or I will level this town and kill everyone of you!
The towns people bring whatever treasures and wealth they have and throw it in front of the Bandit boss for his inspection.
Page 27 – Bandit boss – This is it? I know that this random town would be poor as ****! I'll tell you what, I'll let you townspeople go, but for trying to attack me I'll personally see to it that these two boys are killed. Are you ready you two?
Gale – (looks up and smiles) Heh ready for what? I'm ready to kick your *** outta this town!
Bandit Boss – Kick my *** out? Hahahahaha!!! What can a useless kid like you do?!?
Page 28 – Seth – He's not useless! You're the coward for praying on small towns just to get a little richer!
Bandit boss – Coward? Me? Can a coward do this boys?!
He levels three more buildings with his lightning.
Bandit boss – Hahahahaha!!! I'm invincible!!
Woman – I thought you said you wouldn't harm the town any longer?!
Bandit boss – Well plans have changed! Get ready men, kill to your hearts content!
Bandits – YEAH!!
Page 29 – Seth – (whispers) Ready Gale?
Gale – Yeah.
Seth throws a rock at the bandit boss's head as hard as he could and it hits him with a loud thud.
Bandit boss – AHHHH!! Why you little bas.......
Gale jumps and starts punching the bandit boss's face until he's about to fall off his horse. When he falls off Gale steals the ring from his finger and jumps back in front of Seth.
Page 30-31 – Bandit boss – (from the floor) Kill them all!!
The bandits all shoot their arrows at Gale and Seth and Gale puts up his arms in an attempt to defend.
Page 32-33 – As the Arrows are coming, there is a bright shine and from Gale's whole body electricity shoots out and blows back all of the arrows.
Page 34 – Gamma arrives just in time to see what gale does. The bandit boss and all his men are in complete shock
Gale – Huh? I'm still alive?
Seth – (in shock) Gale, you saved us all!

Gale looks in his hand to see the ring shining, however as the seconds go by the shine fades.

Page 11 – Gamma – Artatica, Honoriku, Venenum, Terrarah, Orkaan, Pluvia, and our home continent of Zamor were overcome by mysterious natural disasters. Blizzards, Volcanoes, Epidemics, Earthquakes, Tornadoes, Tsunamis, and Lightning storms respectively.
Gale – But don't eight continents make up our world? You only named seven.
Gamma – Yes, the eighth continent, Haven, was the only one unaffected by this occurrence.

Gamma – That, even I don't know.
Page 12 – Gamma – But at this one, tiny, unaffected continent, seven of the world's greatest sages gathered, and all standing atop of the holy Alter of Sealing, they banished these disasters and sealed them into the many elemental stones scattered around the world.
Seth – How do you know so much gramps?
Gamma – Well I've been to the Alter of Sealing of course, located on the small unaffected continent of Haven, in the center of the city where all of the world's knowledge is kept, Archive.
Gale – Archive? I've heard that name somewhere before.
Page 13 – Gamma – I suppose you have, it is of course the capital of the Empire of the Eight, and currently the capital of the world. But onto the matter of the stone, Gale, do you know why the Empire is scouting the continent?
Gale – Isn't it to root out the revolution and destroy any evil that might hurt the people?
Seth – How is destroying towns at a time preventing any harm to the people? They're all cold blooded murderers!
Page 14 – Gamma – Murderers they may be, but the reason they are going to such great lengths is to collect all of the Elemental Stones to bolster their own power.
Gale – I refuse to believe that the world's protector can be so petty and selfish!!
Gamma – It has seemed that the Empire has brought stability in the 30 years that it has been formed.

Page 10 – Gamma – Yes, but that story has been passed down through the generations of the world in order to remind people not to abuse power, but fact faded to myth and myth faded to legend to that “bedtime story” that you have now.
Gale – Gramps I'm confused, why does the story remind people not to abuse power?

Page 11 – Gamma – Artatica, Honoriku, Venenum, Terrarah, Orkaan, Pluvia, and our home continent of Zamor were overcome by mysterious natural disasters. Blizzards, Volcanoes, Epidemics, Earthquakes, Tornadoes, Tsunamis, and Lightning storms respectively.
Gale – But don't eight continents make up our world? You only named seven.
Gamma – Yes, the eighth continent, Haven, was the only one unaffected by this occurrence.
Gale – But why?
Gamma – That, even I don't know.
Page 12 – Gamma – But at this one, tiny, unaffected continent, seven of the world's greatest sages gathered, and all standing atop of the holy Alter of Sealing, they banished these disasters and sealed them into the many elemental stones scattered around the world.
Seth – How do you know so much gramps?
Gamma – Well I've been to the Alter of Sealing of course, located on the small unaffected continent of Haven, in the center of the city where all of the world's knowledge is kept, Archive.
Gale – Archive? I've heard that name somewhere before.
Page 13 – Gamma – I suppose you have, it is of course the capital of the Empire of the Eight, and currently the capital of the world. But onto the matter of the stone, Gale, do you know why the Empire is scouting the continent?
Gale – Isn't it to root out the revolution and destroy any evil that might hurt the people?
Seth – How is destroying towns at a time preventing any harm to the people? They're all cold blooded murderers!
Page 14 – Gamma – Murderers they may be, but the reason they are going to such great lengths is to collect all of the Elemental Stones to bolster their own power.
Gale – I refuse to believe that the world's protector can be so petty and selfish!!
Gamma – It has seemed that the Empire has brought stability in the 30 years that it has been formed.
Gale/Seth – 30 years?
Page 15 – Gamma – Yes, 30 years ago marked the end of what is now known as the War of Unification and the rise of the Empire of the Eight. Gale, if I remember correctly your father, Luke, fought in the war, and found his way here near the wars' end.
Gale – (puts on a depressed face) I........don't remember much of dad, only his face, before he left. Mom died a few months later.
Seth – Gale.........
Page 16 – Gamma – I knew Luke very well, he was a good man, the only reason he left was.......
Gale – (gets up and takes the ring) – I'm going home (leaves)
Seth – (gets up) Gale wait......... (Gamma stops him)
Gamma – Let him go, some wounds even time can't heal.
Page 17 – Shows a full picture of Gale's house. Then cuts to Gale falling on his bed.
Gale – I haven't thought about him in a while, Dad why did you leave, and mom why were you ok with it? He must still be out there........somewhere. (shows a flashback of Gamma saying that uke is a good man). Psh, good man, what kind of good man would abandon his family?
Page 18 – Gale holds up the ring and stares at it.
Gale – With this, I can protect everything, unlike him, I'll be more of a man than he ever was.
Gale gets up and moves outside to behind his house. He puts the ring on and looks at it on his hand.
Gale – I feel like I can protect anyone.
Page 19 – Shows Gale shooting lighting out into the ocean, aiming, and hitting waves as they come.
Gale – This power, it's too displaced, if only I can focus it more.
He sticks his hand out and closes his eyes.
Gale – Focus, focus, more, more
He shoots a lightning bolt through the middle of the water making a path.
Page 20 – Gale – That's a little better but I'm not there yet!
He keeps on practicing on into the night and falls asleep where he was training.
Gale wakes up to someone yelling his name
Villager - GALE!!! GALEEEE!!!
Page 21- The man drops to his knees trying to catch his breath
Villager – Gale.....it's the......
Gale – It's the what?!? What's wrong?!
Villager – It's the Empire! And Seth he's......
Gale jets off and see's smoke in the distance.
Page 22 – Gale – It couldn't be the Empire, it couldn't be.
Pans to a burning building and a man with a sinister smile on his face.
Man – Heh heh heh, foolish little boy didn't even last 5 minutes.
Page 23-24 – Shows a picture of Seth knocked on the floor with a charred gash in his leg with the man standing over him with a sword that seems to have been on fire.
Seth – Damn Empire scum
Page 25 – Man – Scum? Me scum? Hahaha stupid kid! Lieutenant Isling of the Empire's Lightning branch!! I am under direct command of Commander – General Raid to rid this town of and evil that has befallen it. Now for my first order of business, bring our the one called Gale Nimbus!
Seth – Gale, no........

Seth – Gale? What do you want with him!
Isling – What do I want with him? What indeed! Is he not the one who stole my ring from that lowly bandit?

Isling – Simple, he told the general everything before he was killed!
Page 2 – Seth – Of course that's how you empire filth operate!
Isling – Why wouldn't he be punished for his crimes?! That little rat stole that ring from behind my back!
Seth – Behind your back? (smiles) Heh, I'd bet he kicked your ***!
Isling – Why you little! (goes to strike the fatal blow)
Page 3 – Gale – (yells from a rooftop) Wait!! Aren't I the one you want!?! (he then breaks a lightning rod off the roof of the house)
Page 4 – Gale jumps off the roof toward Isling and throws the lightning rod like a javelin towards Isling. He dodges with a simple lean to the side as the lightning rod is stuck in the ground directly behind Isling. Isling then smacks Gale to the ground next to Seth.
Page 5 – Isling – Is this the brat, Gale Nimbus? You're much smaller than I imagined!
Gale – What do you want from us!?
Isling – What do I want? (laughs) I want to rule out all evil of course! In the name of our good Empire!
Gale – So you are part of the Empire! How could you do such a thing to these people! Aren't you supposed to protect us!
Page 6 – Isling - Why yes we do protect my young lad! We protect the one's that deserve to be protected! But an evil little village like this deserves to be burnt to the ground with everyone in it! By the way boy, do you happen to have a ring? A ring you took from that filthy bandit?
Gale – If I give you the ring, will you leave this town at peace? (gets on his hands and knees) I beg of you please don't harm anyone else!
Seth – Gale....
Page 7 – Isling – You drive a hard bargain there kid. (he walks over to Gale) But I will assure you my boy......(Gale looks up at Isling) Everybody in this town will burn!!! (Isling raises his sword and it goes on fire)
Page 8 – Gale – You *******!! How could you!
Isling – You're the one who betrayed your world!! (he strikes down as Gale quickly grabs Seth and jumps back)
Gale – Fire? How is his sword on fire?
Page 9 – Isling – Shouldn't you know thief! It is the same power as that ring you hold in your hand! Except mine is a little different. (He hold his sword in front of him) You see boy? This is a fire elemental stone imbedded into a sword, my Fire Brand if you will!
Gale – What heat! I'm done if I'm hit with that thing.
Seth – Gale, throw me aside, I'm not use to you as I am.
Page 10 – Gale - Shut it Seth! I need your help to fight this freak!
Seth – This is a battle that only you can win, you also hold that kind of power. Trust me, just focus on getting that sword out of his hand, without it he's nothing!
Gale – Right! You better stay to the side I haven't come close to mastering this thing yet!
Seth – Kick his ***!
Page 11 – Gale puts on the ring and it starts to shine, he then holds his hand forward and shoots lightning at Isling.
Isling – (uses a quick fire slash to disperse the lightning) Oh so you can actually use it boy, this should be interesting to say the least!
Gale – Damn I knew it, I need to get the hang of this here and now! (shoots more lightning)
Page 12 – Isling – (stops the lightning again) Inexperienced garbage! I'll show you how to kill something the right way! (he raises his arm, sword in hand, and it bursts into a furious blaze).
Gale – ****, ****, don't!!
Seth – Gale the lightning rod!!
Page 13 – Gale – What Seth?
Seth – The lightning rod you threw, it's piked right behind him! Focus on that point and shoot!
Gale – Alright! This is it!
Isling – Die worms!!
Gale lifts his arm straight up to aim at the lightning rod behind Isling, his ring starts to glow.
Page 14-15 – Shows a view from Gale with a solid lightning bolt stream that goes right through Isling's torso and connects with the lightning rod. Panel with a close up to Isling's face with smoke coming out of his mouth.
Page 16 – Isling falls through the floor with a charred hole through his armor where he was shot with the lightning bolt.
Seth – (smiles) Heh, if Gale focused enough on hitting the lightning rod, the lightning would surely go straight for it, piercing anything in the middle.
Gale – (falls to the floor) Did I really beat him?
Page 17 – Gale – I hope he doesn't get back up.
Seth – I don't know if anyone could after that.
Gale – (gets back up) Well at least now it's.......
Soldier – General Raid s-s-sir, when d-did you arrive!
Shows a soldier saluting to a large man wearing a trench coat and a large hat that shadows out his face.
Page 18 – Raid – (walks to where Isling has fallen) This trash lost again? He's useless.
Gale – Who are you!? His comrade?!
Raid – His superior, not comrade. And you must be Gale Nimbus who I've heard so much about.
Gale – What if I am! Now leave this village before I kick your ***!
Raid – Heh heh heh, don't get cocky because you beat this fool. He's nothing.
Page 19 – Gale – Don't take me too lightly! Now leave!
Raid - Heh, I can tell when I'm not wanted. (picks up and drapes Isling across his shoulder) Soldier! Grab the fire brand and lets go!
Soldier – Yes! (he picks it up)
Page 20 – Raid – (while turned away) Let me warn you boy, as long as you remain here, your town will endure attack after attack until it is destroyed. Remember that when It's burning to the ground. By the way, boy, you look a lot like your father, Luke.
Gale – (shocked) Wait! You know about my father!? Where is he!? Tell me! (Raid continues to walk away in silence). TELL ME! (Gale activates his ring and dashed towards Raid in a rage)
Page 21 – As Gale is running towards him, Raid does a quarter turn, whips his arm, and from the sleeve of his coat, a vine looking object whips out and wraps around Gale and tightens.
Gale – What is.....I can't move!
Raid – Know your place (he turns his head in Gale's direction, you can only see the white of one of his eyes deathly glaring at Gale) I can break you in a second! (Gale is stricken with fear).
Page 22 – Raid unwraps the vine and it goes back into the sleeve of his coat. He continues to walk away. Gale drops to his hands and knees, sweating.
Gale – I....felt..... his power....It....was overwhelming......
Page 23 – Raid and his company of soldiers are walking through the plains.
Soldier – Sir! If we continue at this pace we should meet up with the rest of your unit by the end of the day.
Raid – As expected. We're pulling out of this area for now.
Soldier – Right! But sir, why didn't you kill him and get the ring back?
Raid – Heh, Haven't you ever heard of the thrill of the hunt?
Seth – Gale? What do you want with him!
