Good tank sales mean better chances of survival. Also, the recent TOC ranking is safely in the middle of the magazine.
NOTE: I will be updating the front page with major developments from now on.

Psyren is in the top five of the TOC.
1/25/09
Exhibit A: Eyeshield 21. After it failed to end like expected after the Christmas bowl, the mangakas said it were to go on for about another year. Well, they didn't take into consideration that the new arc would fall flat on it's face. With the finals of the World Cup already starting in the next chapter, the series is expected to end sooner rather than later. This means good things for Psyren. Well, this is if they aren't going to try one more time with an expectedly lame "Sena in the NFL" arc. They wouldn't...would they?
Exhibit B: The three newbies. Yes, Meister, Kuroko no Basket and Bokkesan. While all three seem somewhat strong, it is completely unlikely that one of them won't collapse. Meister is probably the strongest due to it's already established set of teams and snappy pacing. Bokke-san, I think it is too early to tell. We will see how it ranks in the next issue. It is definitely the most original of all the series in the trio. Kuroko no Basket is my guess. It is almost identical to Meister in setup, but a whole lot less interesting. Plus, it's first ranking was just barely above the bottom five. In any rate, expect a nice little cushion for Psyren to rest it's feet on.
Exhibit C: Nurarihyon no Mago. This one may be me being pessimistic, but the series does seem to have been collapsing to the bottom five recently. Although, it is selling amazingly in the book store, so did Double Arts. If Jump wants more space, it may have to kill it off. Hopefully they just end to-love or Neuro instead. Those are nearing conclusions too though.
Exhibit D: Quick color page for one year. Usuaully Jump takes it time but Psyren got one almost directly after it's one year anniversary. This mixed with the fact that it has been ranked higher in the toc (Although, only fifth from the bottom. It's better than second though) and merch at Jumpfest, shows that it isn't going anywhere right now. It may not be toriko or bakuman, but it's pretty solid right now.
Exhibit E: Asklepios is going to be the first sacrifice of the new year.

Since there have been so many people saying Psyren is going to get axed, I thought I would make a thread that gives everyone the straight facts and opinions on the future of the series. Everyone knows that Psyren is only about a year old and this does not mean that it has enough seniority to get axed if it's rankings stay poor for too long.
Currently this is where I believe Psyren stands: Recently, new series in Jump, Chagecha and Asklepios have both collapsed in the rankings in the Jump TOC. Since both series are very new, they will both likely end soon. There were even rumors that Chagecha would end this week. This was not the case but it is surely to end soon. If both series end soon, Psyren will be safe for a while more.
This week, Psyren was also about To-love Ru. I have heard that the series has taken a notable turn towards a climax. If anyone can confirm this, please do so. Rumor has it that this series will end relatively soon as well. This would also give Psyren another head up.
Eyeshield is in it's final play of it's final game. This series ending will free up even more space to keep the series alive. Neuro has been rumored to be settling up the climax of it's final story arc.
This will leave more than enough free space to let Psyren live. It's rank in the toc has been a little higher than normal as well. This is surely a good thing as long as it does not go back into second place again next week.
Bari Haken is still alive to be the bottom cushion of the magazine. Not sure how long it will last, but anything keeping Psyren from the bottom is good.
Also, Sket Dance, Psyren and Nurarihyon no Mago have got pins coming out soon. This merch does show that Jump cares about the series and doesn't plan to end it for at least a while.
I will update this thread with more thoughts as time goes on.

I know many of us Psyren fans are scared that our beloved series will be canceled in this year or the next due to low ratings. So I got to thinking and I got an idea. Many of us have created beautiful fan artwork for the series. Why don't we send this artwork in to Jump? If we sent them every piece of artwork that we created then maybe it will show them the series actually has a fanbase. I know some people do the same thing with other series (Well, at least in the US version). I thought it was a worth a shot. I am sure someone could find the address for Jump's office. I think it's worth a shot.
