I think his aim is to Consume Nanjirou's tennis. If I'm right then what he really wants is to play against someone that has the Radiance of the Strong Heart, that doesn't exist in Europe and is only seen in the heart of a samurai or something like that. This way Ryoga would be in the finals with Consume AND Q.P.'s God Aura.

Meanwhile Ryoma would probably need to acquire something new as a counter, perhaps an Aura that is only unlocked by someone that has the three Radiances themselves.

Against Consume, if Muga isn't instantly consumed itself, copying techniques might get him a good amount of points.

I actually think that's a clever way to go about the first set. Ryoma throwing out some moves from the middle schoolers to keep Ryoga on his toes. Even better if he uses the moves of the American team since we didn't get to really see anything. Similar to Niou's role against Germany.

And maybe he didn't remember everything? Maybe he needs a serious match in order to regained his memory and of course his tennis.
Ryoga is a tiger but Ryoma is little bear or a cub? but if he became big bear, a bear can beat a tiger.
Lastly: he unlocked TNK when he find out his joy of tennis and of course everyone around him.
Ryoga has some fear of Ryoma based on Romeo's ability and the fact he uses Twist Server on him and the look on his face.
This is just an opinion, I may be wrong but in some way it could helps Ryoma to stand as a winner.

The consume was hype and seen as OP as hell because everyone thought it is not beatable.

But Medanore FLAT OUT implied that he can handle Ryoga's Consume. So he can only practice partner with him.

So, yeah Ryoga's Consume is not invincible.

All you need actually is a dual personality like Medanore.

So, if you can fake an another personality, you can avoid consume. That's it. The trick is solved.

So, we know Ryoga's Consume happened Involuntarily. Meaning Ryoga cannot stop himself from stealing or pillaging his opponent abilities. Once he get serious.

During The brief S2 Match (postponed) by Ryoga VS Ryoma this finals. We know Ryoga can also consume Auras. And he did it in like 2 Rallies. So, Time is not a factor too. ( I thought he will have Time Limit Factor, or Necessary time to wait before activation)

So far, The only Player who we know can at least handle Consume is Medanore. Medanore confidently said he will play him as sparring partner anytime. (Meaning in the whole time Ryoga is there. Medanore is the only one he is playing against). And since Ryoga stayed, It means Medanore is not lying

We all know Medanore has "Split Personality" or should I say, there are "Two Medanores".

So, some posters implies that's it. Because of Dual Personality constant changing, Ryoga will not be able to consume him. Is that it? Maybe there are other Abilities by Medanore?

Anyways, What do you think is Ryoga's Consume Limitations and Weakness? Why Medanore can counter it?

I don't know if he can consume infinite tornado, cause basically you need to be as experienced as Monster Volk. Baptism+Zone are ability that requires lots of training.
Or 8 consciousness.
Destruction is a shot that Ryoga already knows how to hit it.

Nothing suggests he can't steal Infinite Tornado. He can take auras, techniques and even inherent qualities of a person with consume. It's likely he could consume Kijin as well. Howling might be different due to their nature but maybe. And since Infinite Tornado is a one man Howling, it can probably be taken

Will Ryoma counter it the same way Medanore do?

The way I see Ryoga Echizen consume is that it's a more dangerous of Spiral Baptism in that it breaks mentally the opponent's understanding of their technique or auras that they cannot do it like some sort of mental block, how he does might be similar to Volk in that he attacks the mental fighting spirit or in this case their tennis, but does so that unlike Volk it's not one where you can really return back to like Byodoin did when he fell under Volk's spell and manage to push through.

When he consumed Ryoma's tenimuhou which Ryoma willingly do so, he blocked Ryoma's mentality that tennis is really fun; of course it did not work on Ryoma because he knew it will happen and Ryoma right now see tennis as more than fun and is beyond tenimuhou right now as we see that he develops his own Kijin aura. We're not sure if Ryoga can consume Kijin but if my theory is correct and since Kijin are part of one tennis spirit he can probably consume it as well(which makes him busted if true)

How do pro like Medanore counter consume? from what we know if I heard it correctly that Medanore has two styles of tennis, it's I think like how Mirage mirror counters zone in that he makes Ryoga try to guess what his tennis style truly is in each shot that he can play great with him without worrying being consume, but we shall see in S1 of Medanore tennis and could get a hint how he fights someone like Ryoga.

What kind of feats do you guys want to see Ryoga do in the next chapters or so? It just occurred to me that since he can steal as many abilities possible, he could stack them should Ryoma gain advantage against him. As for what abilities he'll combine? that we have to wait and see, so far we know he took tnk of Ryoma, Ralph's correction ability, and the former no.4 that he beat in Macau, and likely more during his time in the tournament.

He'll surely find some way to combine the abilities he consumed. Several of his own Howlings, TNK with some twists, etc... Something pretty over the top.
