Well, there could said a lot about the final arc and this last chapter, most of it not really good but I am honest:

Rebecca&Shiki sailing into the canon/parental harbor is enough to make up for a good chunk of it, as far as I am concerned.

It's been years since my last post here, but I feel it is appropriate to say things now, Since one o the "Fans" told me that it was wrong to compare ongoing series with Finished one that has Anime (Even though FT achieved all those things WHILE BEING ONGOING), Now its done and has 2 seasons, so no excuses.
warning, This will be mostly negative post, but I want to assure you I have nothing against people liking this manga, everyone have right to like what ever they want, BUT claiming it's better than what others like without substantial proof and mocking them and things they like "at Their doorstep" is just..😠💢 (That is what those "Fans" often did, until things got so bad they could not even show themselves).
Ok with that said here goes:
I will start with 2 only positives I have, Art is still great and I hope it wont deteriorate, Even though I dislike reusing character models for SAME TYPE characters, they are still great to look at. And second is fans mostly proved FT/Hiro haters wrong, Most fans called out flaws and did not act like mindless followers that FT/Hiro haters claim us to be, there are some those too, but majority understood what is poor writing and called it out.
Now begins the negative
😏
This manga was waste of time both for Hiro and readers. After dropping out of it, I mostly skimmed through chapters barely reading it, After reading a chapter I skimmed through I did not fell difference, reading sentences felt like wast of time, Dialog literally add nothing.
One of it's biggest flaws is, it does not know what it is Dark Story, Fun Story, Tragic Story, Satire Story, Free Adventure Story, Deep Story, Simple Story or bunch of them. it tried to be all, and failed in all of them, which led to it being directionless, and more made up as it goes in comparison to FT. for example, Witch's death, it was poorly executed and felt forced, Beccas leaper conveniently did not work to induce drama, couple chapters were painstakingly telling audience that it was for Shikis and co's growth, to teach them let go, not everyone can be saved, as long as you have them in your heart they are there and etc. 1 arc later she is back for good, thus all the messages, emotions and growth were thrown out or were complete waste of time. some defended it by saying it was a bad decision to begin with, so undoing it was right choice, but even that was done so poorly that all that was supposedly good that came out of it (like character growth) was undone, it also blatantly showed Hiro's incompetence, Fixing one bad decision with another bad decision.
This supposed Dark Story ended with more characters Alive than there was at the beginning, Characters that were dead from first chapter came back to live.:facepalm
Main Characters never felt as a team, more like bunch got thrown together. Most of the time One Arc characters felt better than main ones, but they are immediately forgotten and relegated to glorified cameo (OSI).
"Fan" claimed Shiki to be this New Gen protagonist we never seen before, but he is most generic in both in character and design, I literally seen 2 other ongoing mangas that had MC who looks like him (Even glows as well). His uniqueness was scraped early on, him being engineer\mechanic and it was giving to his secondary character Wisze, and that turned him into another maker user:-_-.
All the talk about planing beforehand was lie, Many plot points felt artificially forced in rather than being part of a narrative, like in FT we had 10 wizard saints, we met 8 of them, 2 were never even mentioned (they still might in sequel). but here we had 12 Heavenly Knights of the Dancing Sakura (giant statues), how many of them we met? Only one, Xenolith. Hiro added him and 3 new members, to Universe 0 OSG he did not think, may be these guys would seem more important if they like Xenolith, were Heavenly Knights.
Final villeins were lackluster powerhouses and disappointing, similar to Acno in final arc.
Twists, right this manga has twists, Shiki being Ziggy I called it at ch 12, everyone knew Chronobecca the moment they showed her. it is not even good twist, one that you see coming but it still feels right. it is just for shock value, Oh it was their future SON 😯 and done:-_-.
Through it's entire run this manga could not achieve anything, No great sails (only barely decent and thats because of Hiros popularity), no awards. no spin-offs (Heros does not count, its more of a special crossover). same for anime, only achievement I heard about it was 10th most watched Anime in late slot in Kanto region on one weekend (don't remember date).
Also lets not forget that space is a mere window dressing, it is there just to make things look grand, Each planet felt more like neighboring town than different environment. In FT Celestial world, Edolas and even Elentir feel like different worlds with different rules.
Friendship theme was so in your face and obnoxious that it made you forget the "Machine are people" theme it was going for.
You can even tell Hiro himself got bored by it and started halfassing it.
In conclusion I want to say, this manga was worse than bad it was Nothing.

Let's see what future holds, and I hope next work won't be like Hiro Mashimas Space Manga.

And here's the last one, what can I say, well like FT, the ending itself is okay, but it's so rushed that it's actually botched.

On the other hand, the chapter was supposed to be 45 pages long, just 30, they are where the 15 pages are, if they tell me that it's the interview, it's false advertising, we don't care about the interview, there yes there are pages missing from the chapter.

I hope that in the last volume there will be a bonus chapter.

Xio mei who comes to conclude, it is logical.

Not 16 years have passed here, apart from Kleene no one has changed and Shiki doesn't have his design 3 years later.

And so Rebecca is going to give birth, so they made the kid, celebrating the victory, was it really necessary for him to be a kid at 16? Are there any more condoms in 20 K? Because as much as Rave and FT take place in the Middle Ages, we're going to say as much EZ that's what, no kiss or I love you or marriage but baby is here.

On the other hand, I don't want that for the nalu, ban on doing the same, we didn't wait 15 years for it to be done off-screen.

He could very well do the 16 years later, they would have all been in their thirties and Rebecca was giving birth but hey they do as they want.

So it's original that we see the birth (well '''see''') usually we never see it, even if I would have preferred to see Rebecca with her belly and her water breaking, rather than seeing shiki repaired an engine.

Wise and Harmit live together on Norma and that's it for them, Wise's new horse cut is a big no.

Valkyrie and Homura live on OEDO, Kurenai too.

Aren't Rachel and Connor there while their daughter is giving birth? Not even in conference vision but on the other hand we invite Laviria and Kauchipo for the birth it's a joke.

Shiki isn't even next to Rebecca to hold her hand, he's after her but oh well.

Pino finds himself in the memory of the stars, Mashima had not yet used it here even if I would have thought it would be with Chrono-rebecca since she devours the time of the planets and therefore the memories.

Chrono-rebecca no answer, did she resurrect on earth, she rests in peace with Rebecca or she went back 20 k in the future, I hope not I hope she had a happy ending .

And so this story of rebirth was true, she offers a life to Pino, she could have been resurrected as a daughter of the shica but refuses and rekindles in her machine body.

So already Ziggy didn't give an explanation as to why Pino stopped as he said, I can't imagine it or don't see why he would have programmed it so that it would stop once the mission was accomplished.

Then I understand the message that it doesn't matter whether you're a machine or human, ok, but suddenly this story of wishes or rebirth via Mother was of no use.

And it gives even less meaning to childbirth and suddenly Pino on earth was it really a dream?

But the worst part of all this is that we don't even see the baby, we don't even give it to Rebecca and Shiki gives Pino a hug and then Pino goes to give Rebecca and the baby a hug and suddenly it's what's the baby's name?

And it ends like that, that's why I hope that there will be a bonus chapter that will happen a few years later where we will see the baby shica bigger and that's it.

THE ASSESSMENT: The positive points, well it's going to be quick, the story itself was interesting and the characters were nice too and that's it because well the drawing is still mashima so it's nice to see but that's all in positive.

Because everything else wasn't thrown away but it's negative, the main reason being that he wasted all the potential of EZ and the number 1 problem is this damn Rush that he did all the time throughout history.

No, it's not me or others that we're too old for mashima, it's him who has regressed, who makes stories for children, it shouldn't be too complicated, or take too much trouble, it's It doesn't matter if there are big inconsistencies, not assuming what is said and shown, etc.

I was 8 years old when Rave came out, if EZ had come out at that time I would have said exactly the same thing.

This rush in the narration and the fights spoiled the whole story in my opinion (even if this opinion has been repeated enough for 6 years), those who liked EZ from the beginning good for them but they are not real nor objective on the issue and they are partly responsible for the EZ mess.

Mashima and his editors also bury their heads in the sand, supposedly Mashima listens to his fans too much, that's false and even if it's true he doesn't listen to the right ones.

Certainly EZ is off to a very bad start because of the hatred on Mashima, remember that when the 1st chapter came out EVERYONE (aka the sheep) cried out for plagiarism of ONE PIECE, one piece in space, FT 2.0 etc, that YouTubers or professional journalists did not help with this so at least for the beginning we can grant him that.

But for the rest in 33 volumes he was unable to correct the situation, it had to be the best of 3 and in the end it's the worst, we don't know what he took from RAVE but we know that he took all the bad sides of FT.

As already said I can't believe that it's just because it's the theme of space that it didn't work, so much on the space side bha there's nothing, I'm one of those who didn't I didn't feel the adventure side, it's so rushed, we don't visit anything, we don't explain anything, it boils down to '''we don't have time''.

The plot comes directly from looking for the characters, no need to look for clues or anything else, we give them the solution.

The whole theme on time travel was messed up, not to mention respecting the laws of time to the letter, there he just does anything, the loop is broken but no it continues, Rebecca didn't end up using the CAT only once and she succeeded in a single loop, even her reverse she didn't use time, no explanation as to why her family has the power of time.

Don't tell me Xio Mei's words about time which has no importance in this story, that was to explain the Chronophage, not the rest.

Universe 0 should have been as its name indicates, the origin of everything, the beginning of the loop and in the end NO, it is the world of happiness, Shiki's wish has already been granted in itself.

The overdrive wasn't a bad idea, but they had it too early in the story, special mention to Rebecca who was not entitled to a stylish moment for hers.

Speaking of Rebecca Bha, the same problem as for Lucy in her bad period, we give her abilities to fight but no combat or she doesn't even exploit them with her super speed and not that fast.

For the fights in general it was bland as hell, no choreography, too short, cut every 2 seconds to show what's happening next door and bad guys who don't dodge, don't block the final attacks and what OS is doing when they were 100% in their lives.

Special mention to the OS, only Joe and Cure had an OD, the others didn't.

Cure and akurena who were entitled to a 2nd round (like the black stars) and which is worse than the 1st round.

He must also stop, he must respect the rank of the bad guys, they are lieutenants, mini bosses, or big bosses and yet there is no difference between them.

Let's talk about VOID, the basic idea of an AI gone crazy isn't bad, but making it the son of the Shica, who was designed we don't know how, it was a spirit that merged with an AI and that like August , the main people concerned are not aware that they have children, IT IS USEFUL OF NOTHING.

It could have been interesting for the temporal side, he comes from the future to change the past because saving the humans was a mistake so he came to prevent his parents from saving his mother but no.

For gravity, a powerful power but in the end we had to wait a long time before seeing real gravity and we have never seen a black hole.

No real transition chapter between the arcs just the girls in the baths it became a joke that the guys don't wash, nor a bonus chapter to show what they do on the ship and show that they form a group, because well they never all spoke to each other in real life, rebecca never spoke with jin, laguna with harmit etc and jin kleene and laguna in the end what are they doing there because they are put apart, there or in FT when We even have a real group feeling even with people we don't see often.

Anyway, Mashima really needs to pull himself together and find a real editor who won't hesitate to tell him NO, it's not okay, look at the fan's opinion and take stock.

An expected ending. Nothing to really write home about, but not all that disappointing either. I did enjoy Pino choosing to stay an android, that could be seen as some nice character growth. I guess the biggest issue is this series seem rushed and didn't get enough room to breath. So personally, this ending is below Rave Master's but above Fairy Tail's.

Mashima probably thinks that just because he has an idea he needs to turn them into a manga immediately. In the end not even the characters are new, only recicled from previous works, even the character designs are the same with just a different hair color.
I believe that if Mashima stopped like 2 years only to mature and turn the story into a consistent plot before making the manga, he would avoid making these horrendous works shallow asf.
I just hope he focus a little in the whatever the shit is going on in FT100YQ and Dead Rock (seriously DR is shit)

To me the biggest disappointment here was void... He was a hypothetical? And he wanted to destroy mother for.. reasons? I suppose with the ending we got he stops being a hypothetical. And zyggy was the one to deal with him? There was no real plot between him and shiki.... Considering the very strong start this series got this all looks like confusing nonsense to me.
