I thought this was a spin off when I saw that cover. Since they felt lazy enough to copy the same characters from FT, I think there will be nothing different to expect from the story and how it is handled.
Elsie "am very original" Crimson? Don't forget that name. You know who is going to slash those planet sized enemies.
Now that I think about the possibility of Mashima writing characters with planet level powers...

well, at least we don't have to wait to much to know something about that green lady, she is the only thing that actually looks interesting about this.
Erza is Erza again, Mashima is not even trying

She is obviously supposed to be very similar to Erza on purpose so its not like Mashima was trying to create a completely brand new character and was too lazy to do it.
And learning more about Rebecca and Happy and see there backstorys and powers in combat is very interesting to me.

Rebecca was an orphan. she met Happy (that blue cat) and they became best friends. they were growing up together. then accident happened where Happy sacrificed himself to save her from a car or something. she begged some old guy (that big picture filled with characters, that old guy on the far right) to fix him. he fixed him by making him a robot.
