Looks more fitting of Jellal role by his appearance, but seemingly how he’s dressed he seems like a henchman of some sorts or just military hence the uniform.

I notice but I was quite surprised Gajeel or Pantherlily wasn't with her. Kind of weird she would be with her team rather than Gajeel since they were a popular pairing. Maybe we'll see him, and Gray and Juvia later down as the manga progresses? I know some don't like the little cameos but I thoroughly enjoy seeing old faces pop up at random times.
