Not every shounen MC is like that though if you look carefully .No protagonist from Jo Jo's Bizarre Adventure is like that,Protagonist of Hunter x Hunter Gon isn't dense,Deku is not like that,Ed from FMA wasn't dense either.

But yeah he may turn out to be dense,though didn't Hiro say this will be romance this time

Either from Rave Master or Fairy Tail he wants Eden's Zero to be it's own story about Romance/Sci-Fi which Hiro never did before. Yes the characters do look similar to FT characters but he did the same from RM & that turned out good enough for me. That's just his art design style. So let's wait until we see Eden's Zero first manag chapter. I'm looking forward to it with great anticipation.

I think what was most distressing was the implication that mahsima is trying to write for the fandom he gathered from FT instead of trying something new.

Indeed- it just won’t work to be frank. If he wants readers to transfer their likes, loathes and loyalties to an ensemble of ‘new’ but recognisable characters all he’s going to end up with is a mess, particularly if FT is going to continue alongside it!

I know i'm not gonna get this from the female character. But I hope her appearance is actually deceptive to what she's really like. I don't hope she's hot blooded or a tomboy. What I hope for is she's witty, intelligent, doesn't take shit and surprisingly strong. As in she could get kidnapped and went he heroes get there the enemy base was demolished and she's fine. This would be a interesting twist for the female MC, the protag moves to save her but she saves herself. This seems like a interesting way to go. A female main character who is munch stronger then she looks.
