I think they are going through the branches, if the world were bad, badly built or badly worked, it would not have gone as far as it did, if the excuse is simply that it did not convince a few of them at all, it would not have been successful.

Although the end of FT was somewhat hurried, I do not think it was due to lack of success, I think it was the other way around, the reason is that the editorial needed not to depend on just one product per author, and it has been shown to be so important that they are granting him 81 pages for the presentation of the new one, a few will grant them, and they would not grant it to someone who was bad.

Avoiding all the spoilers so far. MS said they are gonna release the chapter on monday, I am looking forward to it. Eitherway Official Translations will be up on 26th I guess.

Don't know if it'll be like that, but as long as it has a more focused story, I'd be down with it. After all, any overarching story threads of Fairy Tail always felt like they just came to the heroes when Mashima felt like it, especially the subplot with Igneel. Those sporadic moments of Natsu trying to find him and getting info about his disappearance didn't really amount to anything once Igneel simply decided to show up of his own volition.

Now it looks like the deal with Shiki looking for his dad will actually be more of a focus.

Don't know if it'll be like that, but as long as it has a more focused story, I'd be down with it. I don't want her to remind me of Lucy. I hope her backstory isn't one of a rich girl/special person in a onetime life but only just of a normal girl backstory.

I love Lucy.
She was a fantastic character and had tons of growth to her character.

Look at people like Sakura or Nami who stayed damsels in distress and useless 99% of the time while you see Lucy become more relevant, stronger, better, and further put together as the stories goes on.

She's one of the best female leads in big mainstream manga.

I remember her being the one to cast Fairy Sphere, and how it makes sense that she'd gain the magic energy of every wizard she'd ever met during her journey through Merudy's sensory link, since the story made a point that Lucy is the kind of girl who can gravitate towards almost anyone. Now let's see what Rebecca will do. (And perhaps resist going into FT-heavy subjects on this thread, since it's tempting to only talk about an unrelated series.)
