So what kind of aliens, robots and other sci-fi creatures might we see? How long till they get to a desert planet? Is there going to bne a green alien to provide fan service? Will their be a massive space battle soon. Is this going to be a romance or did mashima change his mind. (this are discussion question for EZ)

I’m hope we see aliens based on the gray aliens but with a human like appearance and maybe there could be cat aliens as well which could be what Smile is. Also whenever they get to a desert planet I hope Mashima makes the planet based on planet gunsmoke from Trigun and maybe their go to an ocean planet for a beach day and find an underwater city.

Me too, there are many possibilities. I love it when authors create their own races. I just hope he develops the story better, he had a good base with FT, and it turned out to be a bit disappointing.

Hiro has a lot of creativity to create characters, the problem is that he can not develop them. Maybe if he create different races, planets and plots in different arcs will be better.

I think that Mashima could create a Mashimaverse, that is Multiversals travels, with this the capacities could be unlimited, in FT I explore it in a light way with Edolas but it was the context, I believe that they could use it again, of course it is only something that I would like, but anyway, I'll wait for what they give us with pleasure

I remember that he had mentioned wanting to put more direct romance for his new work since outside Rave and Cocona had not returned to handle direct romance, only the indirect, where we all know that there is even if we are not told.

Plue will always be apart of Mashima’s work.

That, and potentially those Erza and Wendy lookalikes, are about as much of a connection as we're going to get as far as we know. And much like how the Plue from "Fairy Tail" and "Rave Master" were the same basic characters with totally different roles and histories, the same will likely apply to Happy and Plue here. As for those lookalikes I mentioned, they'll likely be taking Jellal's place as this series' shout-out characters that are a bit more loosely based on Mashima's past series (Jellal/Siegrain was based on "Rave" character Sieg Hart, pictured below).

Plue was Mashima's first character he made in middle school and has been in all of his series.

No fourth walls involved. Just a character he likes to put in different stories under different circumstances, like a Looney Tunes cartoon or something. And now he's throwing Fairy Tail characters into the mix.
