I love everything about this setup. It seems almost Sci-Fi One Piece to me, if that makes sense. Mashima can do just about anything from arc to arc with this. Where I think in Fairy Tail toward the end he was kind of trapped in what he could do.

That's part of why I have absolutely no problem with him reusing characters designs. I want to see those character or characters similar in populate this galaxy. Like there is no question what that space pirate at the end of the chapter's name is. It's freakin' Erza. That's who it is for all intents and purposes. And I'm 100% ok with that.

I can see huge expansion of world building and new mysteries. I mean come on,there are hundreds of planets and satellites to expand the universe. It may turn out like as great as Tower of God if Hiro can manage it and and tackle it well.I am so exited.

The manga's pretty mediocre so far but I'm okay w/ reused characters. There's plenty of other artists I like who did the same thing so I'd feel like a hypocrite if I singled out Mashima lol.

Can you imagine mech suit Rebecca?

I really hope that Happy can transform into more kinds of weapons so Rebecca will get more ways to fight similar to Lucys different Celestial Spirits.
And yea it would be really cool if she gets a mech suit later in the series similar to Samus Aran for example.
Those kind of weapons and ways of fighting seems to be Rebeccas thing.

Nope in true Hiro fashion this plot point will never i mean NEVER affect Happy, or the power of love will negate this fact

Or it could affect him later in the series and they find a way to refill his battery or get him a new one.
Or maybe they go on a quest to find that old guy that made him a robot to save happy.

I wonder if Michael that robot from the first chapter will show up again because he was among all the characters on that art showing many of the characters from the series.
Was probably only characters that will be important for the series on that image.

So, this a series about intergalactic travel vloggers. Who fight evil. Okay.

Chapter was okay, nothing special again. The Dragon being was most curious part.

Still waiting for something other than the setting which would make this stand out for me.

That chapter was really good, Mashima has a way of maximizing enjoyment whenever he's writing something. Rebecca and Happy's past was the highlight of course, I didn't expect him to be a machine. Also, Rebecca is more like Elie than Lucy. Elie was alright, but I didn't appreciate how Mashima made her a plot device for around half the series with her Etherion shenanigans

The goddess tells us that shiki will become a hero or demon king destroyer of the universe.

So arrived on Blue Garden, the first meeting of shiki with so much human.

So we see a piece of the past rebeca, an orphan sighted who lived away from the city and who met happy.

Ho my god mashima wants problems with the SPA XD, he killed happy, happily saved and changed into a machine (so a C-17), probably by the old man with his mechanical arm.

Poor Happy who thinks she's not going to like him anymore because he's a machine now.

That's why rebeca understands that friendship goes beyond the machine and the human.

Happy so that can this changed into a weapon, two guns, the return of elie XD, to see if it can this changed into another weapon, a whip, a sword, a shield and at the end an armor XD, I want it Happy gundam and PLue XD.

So we saw machines, cyborgs and androids, so already a theory has forgotten / put aside, the one that said that shiki is a machine-switched human (like happy), to see if it is something else, a weapon or a 2.0 XD cell.

So far seems so good, the setup almost reminds me of dragonball with Bulma finding Goku on her quest to gather the dragonballs! Hopefully Rebecca and Shiki will be more of a balanced team than Natsu and Lucy were - just hoping he might forego too much power inflation in this series after it got a bit out of kilter with FT. The universe has a lot of potential, probably more than FT with the vast number of environments he could create - this will require him to keep putting the effort in though as I feel it could also go the other way and become too ‘generic space cliches’ if he’s running out of ideas and under time pressure.

I guess it would make sense. My impression of this protagonist is that he isn't quite as neutered as Natsu was. And the series doesn't seem like it's telling a more mature(speaking relatively here) than Rave Master.

God, the possibility of Erza 2.0 as plausible love interest.

Haru and Natsu are both naïve when it comes to romance like Shiki. Gary (my phone auto types ) I mean Haru grew up on a small island where everyone knows each other and all the older people in his life basically sheltered him. Natsu was raised by a dragon and had to fend for himself at the age of 10. Shiki grew up with robots and never had seen a human. Lucia even mentioned that Haru and Elie would be just holding hands when they are old people. Natsu and Lucy never kissed so it’s safe to say the trend is main male character being demisexual.

In Fairy Tail Natsu was pretty much the same person at the end of the story that he was at the start. I would absolutely love seeing him try more emotional development in Shiki and romance in my eyes would be an important and necessary part of that.

I agree 100%, Natsu for me is my favorite and i wanted to see him develop, that was my wish in the last arc as it was supposed to be his arc basically, It was a perfect chance to add news things to Natsu as a character but it didn't happened tho i think he realized that Lucy likes him more than just a friend, He didn't know what to do.. I really hope in the sequel Natsu will get that development that we all want.

It's part of his approach, I think. Natsu was kind of baked in as having very simple and defined motivations. Which was part of his charm but it always stunted him in some ways. He was built similarly to Luffy in a lot of ways. They're both built without much room for growth.

Making a lot of friends is actually a much more complex and varied motivation. So I think there is a lot more room to play with romantic stuff. If he's going to be pursing that many friendships it would absolutely make sense for some of those to have romantic undertones. Even if it was just the Juvia X Grey kind of thing it would be a huge step for Mashima to do anything like that with a main character.
