Mashima is not really trying to make a Sci fi story with this manga, is just another fantasy story with a space setting, I mean, so far the technology that has been shown in this series is more like "space magic" than something that you would see in a sci fi story where those kind o things are explained with in universe cience.
Is like some JRPG, where they combine magic and technology, like XenoGears or Final Fantasy.

Honestly I don't see the elements that are similar to those of Jack Kirby, the space entitys nowadays are something that many authors use in their stories

I don't see the JRPG connection, personally.

Whatever he's doing it's pretty cool and I'm digging it.

You forgot to mention a Star Ocean I mean Symbology is the magic in Star Ocean.

Nice chapter,the mother symbol is quite interesting. What i like is Lavillia.

Seems to me the manga is becoming even better & better every week.



Zeref's plan might have been influenced from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure part 6

Neo Eclipse seems very much similar to Pucci resetting the whole world for a new start.

Many Years Before, Parallax had already had the Plan to Reset the universe by fixing everything that was wrong in the Zero Hour saga. Crisis in time, even the concept of space in Time managed DC Comics much earlier than Jo Jo.

Friend, you have to read more, DC had those ideas long before many Animes, the concept of how Zeref was transformed is more like the conversion of Hal to evil.

River planet sounds like it could be an ocean planet or a planet with a lot of water and since River Planet is dead does that mean the doctor is dead?

Lavilia's behavior is very similar to that of many real Youtubers who get a quick success, are conceited and tend to mistreat others just because they think they are superior, in that Mashima knew how to reflect well how some of them behave.

Yeah I know that's why I said she will turn into an ally faster than Ultear who was an enemy at first and took nearly half of the series to turn into an ally.

They are only rivals, I do not think that out of that rivalry they have real hatred, I think they are like Gray and Natsu in FT, only that while men go to fists, women are more likely to attack feelings .

That is what I think happens with both, what if something tells me that Lavilia want to take Shiki to do some kind of trick Rebecca and despupés maybe regret and that makes them start trying to reconcile.

I am going for the Queen option, since we already have Robot Demon King. Hope Hiro try's to make up for Dragon Queens (Irene) unfair treatment with having Baddass mother Queen of the Space Pirates.
