Well it’s nice to know that Rebecca is very relevant to the plot but what about Shiki what’s his role in the story.

The reason why Mother, the Demon King and Elcy Crimson consider Shiki important is probably also connected to Eden Zero in some way.

I do not think you can speak of greater or lesser potential, since they are diametrically opposed characters, and with different backgrounds

Even with different backgrounds, it doesn't change what is possible as far as characterization goes and how much of and importance hiro gives them as main characters.

It's possible for me and others to compare in a simple way that doesn't need to dive too deep into there differences.

From what I understood the last pages are 20,000 years later? What the hell happened because they look great and a little trsites those images having a destroyed star in the background, that part seemed great.

The chapter even though it was commented that FanService would not have felt it, in fact it happened without showing the entire body, well there Mashima, he is not putting Fan Service so fast "strong" to say it in any way.

Interesting the strength of Shiki since he does it without having activated his Ether Gear and half sweating xD

Probably should consider the fact that the cube was found 20,000 years after that scene ended. And we can't really tell if that engraving was always there or not, but given the significance, it's more than likely that whoever had that cube carved it on.

Shiki what’s his role in the story.

My guess Shiki's role according to ch 1 is to eventually decide whether becomes a hero of the cosmos or a villian.

It's going to be a ongoing thing to where hiro will reveal more in the story to sway shiki in different directions to choose which way he should go. Left or right.

This adventure will lead him to one of those destinies.
